In this video, Last Ninja (The), released(!) in 1988 for the Atari ST by System 3.
According to what I've seen while lurking for info, the ST version of The Last Ninja is a pre-release and it has never been fully released. After the amazing digitized music intro we can clearly see that it requires 1MB of RAM to run and be also prepared to change disks because the game is on 4 floppy.
The game is basically an action/adventure and it's shown in isometric view; we can walk, jump, collect weapons or objects and fight enemies in all four directions in a nice and detailed Japan landscape setting. There is no scrolling, the animations are awesome for an '88 game, the chiptune is astounding and the difficulty is high, especially when you have to cross rivers.
Here you'll find full digitized music intro and gameplay
All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.
Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
