Awesome episode! Very tragic ending. The first stage of the infected is the Runner (most infected we've seen are runners), second stage is Clickers (when the fungus has grown out of their head so they can't see and use echolocation - those clicky sounds they make, as seen in E2), and then the large one in this episode is the third stage called a Bloater.

Henry and Sam couldn't take anything from the truck because more of Kathleen's men were coming. They found Bryan's body pretty quickly, by the looks of it. So there wasn't time.

As you said in the beginning, the real problem at this point in time are other human being, because the infected can be managed in some way (but they are still very dangerous). After all, far from the cities, especially in the Usa where this show is set, there is little chance to meet anyone even now. Survivors had to adapt. Can you blame Fedra for being so strict, when lack of control could bring infection in the cities? Can you blame the rioters, after years of oppression? People need people to survive, but with numbers comes conflict. At the end, Sam was facing the sun like the ones we saw in the city. Or maybe, he knew the blood didn't work, so he chose to face away from Ellie to save her (because he can't hear). Ellie herself is growing after leaving the city for the first time, she's becoming more and more like Joel. She's losing hope, like he did. 27:36 yeah, his heart is opening. Too bad everyone he comes close to, die after a couple hours. Imagine this life for 20 years.

Good insights, man. It's interesting that we have gone through covid and political shit created heated discussions. I guess all that we see in the show would have been very possible if it happened. Sam turning to the window, I hadn't noticed. Poor Joel, it must not have been easy indeed!

Não existe resposta à essa pergunta no jogo, mas há um diálogo mais extenso entre Ellie e Sam, onde ele pergunta se ela acredita que as pessoas infectadas morreram e estão no céu. E a Ellie diz que gostaria de acreditar, mas não acredita.

@@reatoresThat’s true that they never really answer that question in the game, but I think that there’s some research in our real world about the fungus infection of insects that suggests that their brains may not be completely taken over for a while. We still don’t really know for certain, but it’s possible that the insect is at least aware that it’s being taken over, to the extent that insects could be aware of something like that. So, perhaps in the TLOU world, people are still aware initially while the fungus is first taking over their bodies, at least until it completely takes over the person’s brain. They don’t explain it, but if that’s the case, then imagine how much more terrifying it would be.

No jogo, a parte do Henry e do Sam é uma das mais marcantes pra quem joga pela primeira vez e não faz ideia do que vai acontecer. Lembro até hoje de como fiquei paralisado no final do capítulo. A série reproduz muito bem a montanha russa de emoções que foi o jogo. E que eu me lembre também, não mencionam como funciona a transição da mente da vítima pro domínio do fungo no cérebro, não se sabe até que ponto um infectado tem alguma consciência do que está acontecendo depois da transformação. E isso é bem perturbador, se for tipo uma síndrome do encarceramento (o filme "O Escafandro e A borboleta" retrata isso) mas no contexto do cordyceps, a coisa só fica mais aterrorizante. EDIT: Voltei pra falar da música no final kkk, que é da Agnes Obel. Conheci o som dela por causa do trailer de outro jogo uns anos atrás (The Long Dark é o nome do jogo). Ela faz um som muito bom, procurem depois no KZbin por "Agnes Obel - The Curse (Berlin Live Session)" e pelas outras músicas no spotify, etc.

Ep pesado, quando alguem fala em jogo ou serie/filme, é o plano perfeito nada pode dar errado, Sempre , SEMPRE da errado. e se não der naquela parte do plano é um falso alivio para dar muita merda depois. e foi o que houve, tem tudo para dar errado no tunel não da para abaixar a guarda e bum, Kathleen e sua tropa, bando de infectados e ainda esse final.
