The scene between Joel and Tommy when Joel breaks down is so powerful. They will definitely submit that for Emmy consideration for Pedro

I love that you’re watching the behind the scenes stuff and reacting to that because so many other reactors don’t and it adds SO much to your reaction/discussion. anyway, just wanted to say thanks for that! ❤

Also, remember how in the beginning of the episode Ellie says "if you die, I'm fucked".

I really love your reactions to this series. This ep is so good. Not a ton of changes, but there are a couple that I liked. I actually thought Joel’s conversation with Tommy was really, really powerful. And I kinda liked the fact that instead of telling Ellie she’s coming with him, he offers her a choice. Not that there was much doubt what she wanted, but still. Really liked the older couple in the beginning. And yes, the girl staring at Ellie was Dina.

Great reaction and discussion as always! One little change that bugged me slightly: while I totally understand their desire to change Joel's injury (to make it slightly less severe) the one thing the game version provided was a compelling reason for them to pull out the thing that stabbed him (despite the fact that doing so means potentially bleeding out). It was rebar that was attached to rubble, so he literally couldn't flee without first pulling it out, making it sort of an impossible choice. In the show version, he's still perfectly mobile, so it seems like Joel should know better than to pull it out right then.

I like the change. The game version is too over the top, it would be a both a fatal fall and wound, and that he then keeps going and fighting (for awhile) is pure superhero movie stuff. They keep it a little more grounded in the show. (Still not completely realistic, to be honest, but still...) As for pulling it out; a lot of people complain about that, but what is he supposed to do? Bounce around on a horse with it? No doctors or ER around... leaving it in might cause more internal damage when he has to move around. And I think it's a reflex to pull it out as well.
