The sound of hitting someone in the face with an upgraded baseball bat in this game is brutal, the instant gurgling and blood pouring from their neck/face... and don’t even get me started on explosive arrows with literal body/brain matter dripping off ceilings and walls. I think my first moment of disgust came in the optional apartment you explore as Ellie on day 2. It’s got like four wolf deserters hiding in a locked room who attack you when you use a workbench. Well I was suspicious so I set up some trap mines, like three or so. I did that all the time my first playthrough because you can always just pick them up if they aren’t useful. I go to use the workbench, hear the door open behind me, and the beginning of a shout, then a massive explosion. I turn around and the hallway, kitchen, and dining room are fucking covered in blood and viscera. I remember being at once appreciative and disgusted at how they animated small chunks stuck to the ceiling that would drip blood and eventually fall off with a wet slap. They put in exploded viscera dripping off the ceiling tech. For fucks sake.

At the end shot him right in the dick; savage. This gameplay looks like the best I've ever seen from a video game. The weapon switching, the movement, the dodging, the knife stabs and swings. I havent even played this game yet and it looks gameplay mechanics wise the best ever. That laying on the floor shooting the bow up as the guy walked in was incredible. The part where she killed the guy on the car and his body layed over the roof as the blood ran down was rediculous. Incredible editing by you as well. You make this game probably look even more incredible than it already is. Please keep making videos for this game.

I'm finding the only thing more impressive than the control of the gameplay is the control of the overall dark and unsettling feel with music/sound selection. people hating on this game didn't truly understand the story. of course joel's action has consequences and unfortunately it has driven someone mad and consumed by revenge (abby). and abby's gameplay justifies her actions and not render her as just another bad guy. both ellie and abby are good people but turned evil because of their thirst for revenge. and it's in joel's song, ' if i ever were to lose you, i'd surely lose myself'....it's there, it happened. haters didn't see this subtle message. and finally, this is a dystopian setting story, there's no happy ending and protagonists sometimes end in a very horrible way. go read 'animal farm' for starters.

@@lonnie3449i agree, i am on joel's side too, if i had been him i would have saved elly too, but put yourself in abby's shoes, lose a father who had done nothing wrong (if not looking for a vaccine to humanity, what the fireflies wanted for a long time) is a trauma, considering that he was shown to us as a good person who thinks first of others than himself. I'm not saying Abby was right to kill Joel (the game itself shows us nothing has changed with her revenge) but I understand the "need to kill him" she had.

I feel like the only people who don't like this melee combat, are the ones who prefer mindless button mashing. Love the more personal and methodical 1v1. Also, how TF are you so good at aiming with no reticle. I assume using the flashlight for reference
