I agree, it would've provided some much needed levity in the otherwise extremely dark and depressing show. I liked the episode, it was beautifully written and amazingly acted, but I was really expecting and hoping that this Bill that we see in the game would be what would appear after Frank's suicide, and that Bill wouldn't also commit suicide. I get that it makes sense when that version of Frank didn't just leave him on bad terms, but I still really wish they hadn't killed off Bill, because he's my favourite character in the game, and we didn't really get to see much of the eccentric, sarcastic side of him in the show.

Honestly, I feel like we’ll get a Bill character for Ellie to roast eventually. What we got in the show is a happy ending that was never in the game. That Bill dies happy with his husband while this Bill lives miserable alone.
