Ellie and Abby were more similar than I think either of them would've ever admitted. Ellie's need to go after Abby pushes Dina away the same way that Abby's need to go after Joel pushed Owen away.

I think this song (especially the final part around the 4 minute part) would've been excellent to add in the final fight between Ellie and Abby. I still have major problems with the game... but that final fight was one of the best I've ever played with such hauntingly beautiful scenery.

I can understand that many fans were angry about Joel's death and in the beginning me too but in the end I really liked Abby's character actually I loved that the characters were grey and we had the aportunity to play both sides we can see that none of them are bad or good and both Abby and ellie wanted the same thing to take revenge in their own way sorry for rumbling haha 😅

Definitely buy it if you can. Watching a play through will give you insight into the story playing the game will allow you to feel the characters and immerse you into the story! Hands down my game of the year!

I love this game it isn’t as good as the first one, but this game is dark and conflicted none of the characters are good none of them are bad no one is innocent. It is a game where good and evil don’t exist.

When I first finished the game, my immediate thought was that it was a good game, but not quite as good as the first one. But after I replayed it, and the more I let it sink in, the more I think that Part II was actually superior to Part I, even storywise. They undeniably took more risks and to me it paid off. But I understand that for others, it didn't, and I'm not going to argue with anyone who prefers Part I, their arguments are perfectly valid.

Tonberry I agree, I actually think it’s better than part 1. There is so much in this game to unpack on an emotional level. I love that Naughty Dog created a game that challenges me to look past my own biases by forcing me to play as Abby and didn’t pander to the fans by following a formula that’s been tried and tested by giving us the further adventures of Joel and Ellie. Naughty Dig took the decisions made in the first game have meaning by showing the emotional impact on joel and Ellie’s relationship as well the real world impact with Abby and her crew hunting Joel down for what he did. And while it was extremely unsettling being a spectator to the torture and murder of Joel... that’s life. We don’t always get what we want, we don’t always get to say goodbye the way we would like, we can’t always have the fairytale story because life can be tough and in the last of us world that’s dialled to the max. Furthermore the emotional content of the game would have been ruined if they had Joel go out in some heroic fashion. This game was expertly crafted to force us to feel what Ellie’s was feeling which I think is genius! I also love the that they gave us an ambiguous but hopeful ending; Abby and Lev are with the fireflies but what does that mean for Ellie? And Ellie hasn’t got the happy ending that we would have liked but she had that with Dina and walked away from it. So her ending is one of finding closure so she can move towards the happy ending. I understand some of the criticism such as pacing, but as far as Ellie not killing Abby? No way. What hope would Ellie have had if she had killed Abby? None she would have become the monster she set out to destroy. Even Abby has quickly become my favourite character in the franchise because she is so well written with her vulnerabilities and desire to be better, that’s something we should all be able to relate to. Absolutely love this game I could talk about it for hours!
