Pedro Pascal as Joel was perfect, and I'm extremely thankful they did the game justice. There were some things I wish were done differently, but overall it's such an incredible show.

Nah. I didn't like that they raceswapped him. I'm hispanic so I should be allowed to say that he should've been the same as how he was in the game. Imagine the outrage if they decide to cast Troy Baker as Blade in that new game for example, lolol. If I'm wrong then why do people get upset when swaps happen the other way

@@FactoryDan It's not like he looks vastly different from Joel in the games though, in my opinion he looks very similar. It's not like with things like Velma where they changed her race completely for no reason other than to please the modern audience, Pedro Pascal is just an excellent actor, and is able to pull off Joel's look very well. Race is only an annoyance factor when it changes the core appearance or behaviorisms of a character for me, and here, neither of those were off. Ellie was moreso an issue for me, but Bella Ramsey's performance was good enough to ignore it. I wouldn't change any of the actors, I think they all did an incredible job with their roles.

My personal hot take: I think they should’ve split the game into 2 seasons. Season 1 ending with Joel being taken care of by Ellie after falling on Rebar and season 2 ending at the end of the game. Gives production and naughty dogs more time for their future stuff like if there’s gonna be a last of us 3 to convert into a show and keeps new fans hooked for more as it adds the timeskip.

I wish that last shootout in the hospital was a single unbroken shot with no music. I think it would have better portrayed how methodical and brutal Joel had to be to in order to save Ellie. Kind of similar to how Richard Harrow saves Tommy in Boardwalk Empire. It’s just more effective that way, if you ask me.

I ordered this print on sticker for the torso and legs, I used the standard head I usually do, ordered the appropriate color legs, arms, and torso from eBay, then did some research into the best hair which turns out is a Lego friends hair (I didn't even know they were compatible). I love how it turned out!
