The last Ride Before 1913 Fairbanks Morse Tractor goes home

The Truck is coming tomorrow to pick it up and take it back to Texas. Kind of sad to see it go home. I put it away tonight and could not find anything to fix so I guess its time for the owners to get to play with it . It will be at the Temple Texas show Oct. 4-5-6 2013 for its first showing.

I spent many hours driving one of these when I was a young teenager. My step dad had one he had restored in Shelbyville Kentucky. Lawson Zaring was his name.

the special tesla steering mechanism is hidden underneath by that big tank to hide it, so you can't see it all all, and you just send it out to the field in the morning with full tanks, and at night, the field is plowed and you can fill the tanks to be ready tomorrow. The hydraulics for the plow lift were harder to hide, as well as the three point hitch, but it works wonderfully.

So the radiator stays bare aluminum? That is odd but they did some different stuff on these old tractors for sure. Only reason they painted them I'm sure was to keep them from rusting!

Cory Baughn uhh what are you on about? Every car made within the last century (and beyond) has a bare aluminum rad. Aluminum doesn't need paint as it does not rust. It would also GREATLY reduce the cooling efficiency of the rad if you painted it.
