I feel that The Last Samurai soundtrack doesn't get enough love that it clearly deserves. I'm glad that Hans included it into his 2022 live tour, as it was simply beautiful, just like this music video. But I am still waiting for the complete score from one of the top soundtrack labels.

So beautiful. We just had this song played at a brother in arms funeral. He taken his own life cause of the demons he saw. He couldn't take it. He was in S.F. guy and the body and mind takes a toll on some of us. We handle ot our own ways. He loved the last samurai. It was his favorite movie. Today we buried our brother and this album was well suited for him. Thank you for remaking this already beautiful master peace. Idk if he ever seen this or not but I'm sure he did.

you're forgetting the fact that Japan's constitution offers no provision for a Shogun nor any fudal heirarchy; save the Emperor themselves. You're also forgetting that Japan has limited their own military deliberately to avoid falling into that pitfall that got them bombed to begin with. but sure..."america bad"

@@shikaka9032 The Japanese Emperor at the time was a tyrant who lied to and oppressed the Japanese People and terrorized the surrounding nations, (specifically Korea). It is nauseating what happened to the Korean's, especially the women... That said... the Nukes were atrocious.... devastating... and horrific... But America hasn't held a sword to Japans neck since then... Japan is our strongest and most deeply respected ally in the east and for the record, they have recently started building up their own military / national defense again.

The Americans at Tarawa saw Japanese civilians jumping off cliffs to avoid capture because the empire used the Samurai sense of honor to brainwash an innocent population into a suicidal struggle. If the USA had not dropped the nuclear bomb, the USA would have had to lose hundreds of thousands of Americans, maybe millions, to end the evil that had overtaken the Japanese Empire. The brainwashing was so powerful that imperial Japanese soldiers that were isolated did not even know the war was over till the 1970s. One is confirmed to have killed several innocent travelers. I think it is important to have that perspective no matter how sad it is to see what happened as a result. Japan is doing incredibly well today, and that is thanks in part to the USA aiding in converting it from an imperial nightmare into the one of the best democratic governments on Earth. It is sad that Hiroshima had to be bombed in such a horrific way. It was unfortunately made necessary by the higher ups in the military controlled government.

One of the greatest pieces Hans Zimmer has ever written. Heck , one of the greatest pieces anyone has ever written. i come back to this piece every other day to simply close my eyes and talk to my self devoid of all the noise of the world around me. Its so loud outside that i cannot hear the man within speak. This allows me to converse with the man that remains when all else is gone. Forever in debt to the composer and for now , to Tina Guo.

I saw this today while having my coffee and as I was listening getting ready for work It stopped me in my tracks . I sat down feeling the upmost respect and watched the video. Tears began to flow. This song pierces my soul, especially this version. I have a lot of responsibility in my life and the burden weighs heavily on me. This song helps me get through the tougher days. It makes me feel as if it is a beautiful struggle. I can remember one particular evening I was doing dishes after a long week trying to prep for a new one. I listened to this (Eliott Tordo version) and tears were streaming down as I scrubbed. Like the pain of just life hitting me so hard with the notes, yet it’s what I must do. I can’t quit. And then I realize it’s worth the struggle. Thank you, Hanz and Tina, for this amazing song, and helping me get through the tough days.

❤ I love this movie... and the soundtrack is also amazing, it had to be... it's an Hans Zimmer soundtrack ❤ Tina Guo's is one of my favorite cellists... know her work over, maybe, 10 years... to children both music/cello students... they wanted to learn music...7 years of difference in age...the boy is now in the University (and left his cello/music studies) the girl in highschool and still continues on music/cello studies...she is a resident member in an Youth Orchestra that was founded by students from 13 to 19 years old...her brother, my son, was one of the students founder member ❤ ❤ Music is something very special in my family... and cello is the main instrument ❤
