I also don't really like this truncated Last Stop... but this one is slightly better than another one I heard from the Summer 2022 tour I think where they just hard stopped at the end of the song. The outro is so good but I have heard the band doesn't enjoy it or they have a hard time all staying in sync as they transition into the outro, idk. I like the Live in Chicago 1998 version, the Dave and Tim version from 3-13-99 I have on a bootleg and it's amazing. Then around 2010 Jeff started playing LeRoi's solo from BTCS at the end note for note and I thought it was really awesome. They actually went through the solo twice and I thought it was a very tasteful nod to LeRoi and the album version. They then would continue on with the rest of the awesome outro. I'm also hoping the longer version comes back someday!

I think in the beginning, before they start, Carter is asking Dave if they're going to finish it with the reprise or truncated (which is i think why Carter does that chopping gesture). Dave gestures truncated. Since this has been a thing for a little while now, I think Dave is depriving us of the outro just to kinda troll us. We all know he doesn't like playing songs that people are demanding, he prefers to play what he likes to play. But he throws us a bone with Last Stop, just won't play the reprise as to not totally give into us

dave had just spoke about not feeling great and trying to get through this last song so it might have been them just agreeing that this was the final song of the night

It boggles my mind that one of the most lyrically relevant songs in the DMB catalog isn't played more. And without the outro to balance out the heaviness of this song, it feels like hitting a brick wall at 100mph emotionally.

I wish they'd do "come in from the cold for a while" again too, but in fairness that isn't the true outro. That part is the hidden track after spoon on the album that starts at the 6 min mark

@@tambourinedmb Fair, they do go there for a couple seconds at the end. All i meant though was that "come in from the cold for a while" is not part of the last stop on btcs, and IMO ( and i could be wrong) thats what people are demanding since this Half-Stop business started. Not sure most fans are aware of that so wanted to inform. Appreciate your input!
