This brings me back to when my mom used to drive my buddy and twelve-year-old me to the local card shop. One night we got one booster pack each. I pulled yet another Helping Robo for Combat and he pulled Dark Magician Girl. He ROARED the card's name as we were driving off. Made my blood boil at the time, but I eventually weaseled the card out of him... and proceeded to trade it away for something worthless.

If you feel bad about dmg, I traded a 1st ed bls envoy of the beginning for the ritual counterpart and spell cause I couldn’t read the effect. And then funny enough, the next episode of gx featured the bls card and I was angry at myself for trading away a powerful card like that.

Dark Paladin is probably my favorite card from this set, even though Wave Motion Cannon and Secret Barrel will always have a place in my heart. Those cards were STAPLES in my playground format back in the days hahaha

Bro same. It’s so cursed. I also was given an unlimited Dark Magician Girl from a friend in middle school which he had already crinkled the hell out of. I still play it to this day sometimes because it’s actually quite sick to even own a damaged unlimited version IMO but fuck man. :( I want to go back in time and slap us kids into taking better care of our cards!

Dark Magician Girl is of course my favorite card in this set and I really hope you pull it. But a very close second do DMG is Breaker the Magical Warrior and that would also be an amazing pull. Another amazing card that I don’t see many people say is Luster Dragon, I love the way it looks and at the time was great.
