I remember e-mailing you about ten years ago when you were developing this method, and I have used it ever since! Thank you forever!! Best wishes Charles

Hello John, don't know if you will receive this. If you do can you give me a bit of background on yourself and what model types you are building as well as where you live. Have you passed the idea on to any friends?

Hi Marcel. Nice to see you still active in the hobby. I am hoping to build again soon myself after seeing all the beautiful work in the Facebook group.

Excellent build series, sir. You rival Don Ross in the succinct export of your knowledge. I am returning to building after not having the mentorship or the patience in my youth. As an adult, I can appreciate KISS principles and yours is great. Thank you for sharing. By the way, I came to this video from the ENDLESS LIFT website, so kudos to them too.

I could be wrong and probably am, but I could swear I knew of people who did it this way back in the 70's and 80's... or at least close to this. Oh well... what's old is always new again. I don't recall anyone using push sticks for the pins however but that is probably due to your choice of building board. I am somewhat surprised to see that you use drywall (gypsum board) as a building surface. No wonder so many of your pins are bent. I, and I think every modeller I know in the US has always used Homasote as a building board. It's sold as a sound deadening or insulating board, but takes pins easily yet holds them quite firmly. It has no equal IMHO when it comes to model building. Thanks for the videos. I have always used a method very similar but not identical to yours. (the building process is very close but I never made any special tools, markers or cutters) I always found there are enough X-Acto head variations to cover any need.

Great idea, I will have to try your method out. It sure seems to make building more precise and more enjoyable.
