The Law Enforcement Chronicles: Watch Dogs 2 - Chicago Police Vessel

This episode of The Law Enforcement Chronicles is going to be a bit of a weird one, as the vehicle we're here to acquire today only appears in a mission, so this video is basically just a walkthrough of that mission. But this series wouldn't be complete without including every law enforcement vehicle, so we're going to pick it up anyway.

unlike rockstar games you cant use pay n spray shops to repair your car but the way ubisoft does this you dont need to anyway because they let you spawn any cars you own in the app no scratch seen until a random npc driver does and saints row has that feature you can repair cars but the AI in all 5 except saints row 4 of those games your homie ai will drive horribly and will end up damaging your car just before they even get to you

@@23Mondeo If you want to start a new game every single time you want to use it in order to play the mission it appears in, then kind of yes. Otherwise, sadly no there isn't a way. Blame Ubisoft.

Ugh, what a smack in the face. If you include a car like that, couldn't you leave the spawn point there after the mission or at the very least have it unlocked??? It's literally the same as with the 1950s police car in Saints Row IV - in the first mission the garage feature is alocked and in the second when it's actually working... you can save any car from here except the police Gunslinger. Yeah... nice. Why would you want it ,if you can take a normal variant and make it look like a police one but without the most important: working lights and sirens. Just gives off the civillian MRAP feels bro. Saints Row IV actually had a lot of vehicles that are unsaveable just for the sake of it, you guessed it - mostly law enforcement ones. The military Bulldog with a mounted gun - forget it, STAG Crusader - nah boi, STAG VTOL - cheats only, SWAT Lockdown - nope, STAG N-Forcer - funny, SWAT Bear - mission only, Challenger tank and unmarked Bear - you must be lucky for it to glitch out of an activity, police and SWAT helicopters - nearly impossible without a DLC weapon, tough enough if you have it. Still, would be nice to see a special patrolling episode with the CPD Vessel, even it it's a little bit againts the lore :>

I couldn't agree more. First we don't get garages, then we don't get special vehicles in the Car On Demand app, and as if that wasn't enough, the car doesn't even spawn in free roam outside of that mission. What an absolute smack in the face to everyone who plays these kinds of games and anyone who wants more from their game than the intended purpose. It's amazing how narrow this game is - it has absolutely no breathing room for the player to really do anything besides the intended purpose of being Dedsec, gah. And yes, I can also agree with Saints Row IV. The series prides itself on player freedom and saying "yes" to whatever it is to what you want to do, (which is perhaps the reason why you can customize a normal Gunslinger to look like the police variant in the first place,) and yet so many dozens of vehicles still in the game files from Saints Row 3 like the STAG vehicles especially only appear in missions or activities and can't be acquired without mods. Huge missed opportunity to give the player the means of acquiring these vehicles. In fact, the entire game really is a missed opportunity - I remember before it came out people were theorizing that since it took place in a simulation, maybe somewhere along the line you'd actually be able to customize the game world itself after you finished the game. Like you can do with the skybox, actually - once you beat the game you get an option to change the skybox and time of day in the simulation. Some people thought it would have multiple open worlds you could travel between at will in free roam, like the 1950s world, Stilwater, and Steelport, and as I write this, I realize that once you beat the game they could've allowed you to customize the factions present in your game. Friendly reminder this is already in the game in a way as there's a mission where the gangs of the previous gangs outright return, like the Brotherhood and the Vice Kings. Imagine having the option to replace the Zin with STAG, or restore Saints Row 3's normal law enforcement, or replace them with the gangs, or with Ultor, or even with the Saints, the possibilities are endless. Now that I think of it, this is perhaps one of the biggest missed opportunities in video gaming history - a series that prides itself on customization and personalization had the perfect excuse to allow the player to customize the game world itself, (and did it with the skybox, mind you,) and they blew it. Imagine Saints Row IV but you can basically spawn any army you want into free-roam, and fight them yourself, or make them fight each other. And of course, save their vehicles. And as for having an episode or episodes with the CPD Vessel, don't worry that's definitely going to happen. Been planning it since the start - It's a great police car and fun to use despite the fact that it doesn't make a lot of sense.

@@UsernamehereCustoms Yeah, SRIV in fact had so much potential, that people have to bring from it using mods (Sandbox+ for example that gives you access to all of the mission maps and more). Even though it was a DLC turned into a full entry, it could've been a memorable position in the series if it was executed properly. Sadly, it wasn't...

@@AdarWidmopies There's so much wasted potential everywhere, I'm sick of it. Easily a dozen games off the top of my head that I can think of that were disappointing or could've been done so much better and weren't because of corporate suits. I miss the golden era of games. When they were made with care and passion, and made to be fun.

@@AdarWidmopies then I guess I'll be waiting for the rest of my life Oh by the way, that issue at the beginning of the video where only the right side of the Chicago Police Vessel was exhibiting lighting effects? I verified the game files and that fixed it. Of course, I probably wouldn't have had to do that if the game wasn't constantly forcibly autosaving my every move and that includes all the times I've played with mods... edit: it's broken again on my main save for some reason
