Gritty and well made t.v. series , my grandparents, my parents , uncles aunts cousins have lived most of their lives in lower east side of Manhattan N.Y.C. where most of these events occurred , alot of crimes ,violence and many illegal activities .... but not only have I heard these stories but for the past 50 years, this here too have been my stamping grounds , from Rivington street , Clinton Street and Norfolk street ,and yep lived and still call this my home 👌🏻

I'm certainly impressed by the authenticity and realism that the producers have imparted in this series. The props, scenes, layouts are lifelike. I especially like the automobiles whether dressed up luxury sedans or the heavy duty trucks used to move huge liquor consignments they are the real deal I'm sure. Even in the 50's when these episodes were made the access to such property was essential to the realism. Great video channel here. Thank you for your efforts and time. You are making my idle times so enjoyable.

This is one of few episodes when Barney Ruditsky is actually the protagonist. In most of the episodes, he was only the narrator.
