How you like your greensmaster 1000 and the new Subaru mower compared to the Swardmans? I am planning on purchasing my first mower and would hope to hear your opinion. Thank you and Great mow with some awesome peeps!

Swardman is a nice homeowner reel, but I prefer the greens mower. The build quality is much more robust. So given the choice of a low hour greens mower or a new Swardman, I would personally choose the low hour greens mower. Nothing wrong with the Swardman though - I know many people who have them and are happy with their purchase.

Tough to say - greens mower prices are all over the map, but I would check prices with Prairie Turf Equipment. They sell some nice low-hour machines.

Hey John, just a couple of quick questions. What starter fertilizer would you recommend? I’m going to plant Monaco bermuda seed and topdress with a 90/10 sand/peat mix. Also, would adding Arden 15 to the mix be advisable? Thanks. Great channel and yard!

Thanks man. Much appreciated. I’ll get a soil test done. Since you mentioned a monostand, would you recommend Arden 15 or Monaco, or even another seeded variety? I seeded with princess 77 (which I guess Arden 15 is the updated version now) last year, but had pretty poor establishment. I know Monaco is coated while I don’t think Arden 15 is. Thoughts?
