In his famous lecture ‘ Christian manifesto in the 80’s, he called out Christianity for hiding away, being propagandised and not wanting to rock the boat. Noam Chomsky said in the 80’s the propaganda was so pervasive that the general population didn’t even know they don’t know. We have generations of leaders who are ignorant of the times we live in, are cowardly and effeminate. Bring on the hard times- a new reformation is required

@@FITSOZOLIFE. I’m in disbelief at how weak the church has been culturally. It’s like they’ve been on the sidelines scared to go into the game. So what did Chomsky recommend people do? I see the massive amount of propaganda too and it’s very daunting to try and think of how to even begin to fix this mess .

The sad news is Chomsky took all his ideas from Walter Lippmann and Edward Bernays in the 1920’s. It’s been going on that long. Unfortunately Pastor D is also guilt of falling for the propaganda. He likes to use live not by lies, but the author and another book on the Bolshevik revolution. He called out a certain ethnic group who hate/ despise/ wamt to destroy Christianity- that were not Russian or Christian. They take same positions today- see black rock, Pfizer , pornography, KZbin, google, Facebook and international finance. Nothing new under the sun. Repent, ask God to intervene

Canadians are bing arrested for misgendering their children, and here a woman was arrested for praying outside a planned parenthood (she was not obstructing the door by any means). Disconnected from social media, cable TV, Hollywood movies, and voting several years ago, only remain on YT where I can have ad free access and choice of what to fill my brain with. I still remember that scene in the old Crocodile Dundee movie where he sees a TV again after not seeing one for 30 years, and I Love Lucy comes on, and he says "Yup, that's what I saw." The few times news gets through to me today, wars, left vs right, serial killers, Star Wars part 83, etc, yup, it's the same old stuff as it was in the 60's, 70s, 80s, 90s, so on. None of all the social/political activity I put in for decades made a lick of difference. But being out of "the news" has been the greatest boost in Scripture time, my relationship with the Lord, and immensely improved mental health. BTW: Whose been educating your kids - why the Jesuits, of course.

I can tell you why I (as a orthodox protestant) no longer go to church. The position of pastor has become a career like any other career. Sermons have become sales pitches. Denominations have become for profit corporations with corporate ladders to be climbed like any other corporation. Successful ministries are entirely defined by increasing members and increasing monies. In that reality, congregations are not disciples but customers. And the product they are buying and selling the the Gospel of Christ. That why I no longer go to church.

So because what Jesus warned would happen is happening, you won't fellowship with his bride? You haven't been to every church, brother. Don't allow the sin of others to induce sin in yourself. Scripture commands us to gather regularly and in fact, if you abandon the church entirely you are guilty of the very same thing you accuse others of, which is abandoning the word of God for your convenience and comfort. I have been in a church that appeared to stray. But there were those who stayed, fought for and proclaimed the truth, and now God is reaping a harvest, however small, there. I'm still there. I wanted to leave so many times, but how could I leave the bride of the one who has never left me or faltered in his love for me?

@@elijah4606 A couple of points here. First of all, The Purpose Driven Church is now the text for church growth. That book is all about marketing and selling the Gospel. Second of all, You are correct that there has always been folks wanting to cash in on the gospel (Simon the Sorcerer). Third of all, a few years ago, I visited 11 different churches (all different denominations). Every sermon was about abortion, money, or political endorsements. Pursuing increased numbers of members and monies is the norm for churches today.

My church is the exact opposite of everything you stated about whatever church you were talking about at the beginning of this video. There is strong leadership and love, we support each other, and there is zero negativity. It's The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My friend used to talk about how much she hated the politics in her church. Nonexistent in mine.

It's difficult when we see the issues, know what we would like to see done, and even desire to do something, and have no idea where to start. There is a real fear in strong faithful men of not knowing what to do to fix it. I am by nature, a problem solver, so it's discouraging when the access to approach the solution is vague. Agree completely! I’m a pretty strong guy as well and a problem fixer. I was awakened during the 2020 blm riots - I’ve been surveying the territory since then. I see academia as warped as it is - our political system a cesspool - mainstream media just as demented and the tremendous amount of cowardice amongst the vast majority of the population and I kind of just throw my hands up .. then I look at our young men who are now striving to be victims and I just shake my head in disbelief .. aside from gathering local Like minded people and mounting a charge that way - I’m at a loss .. Doug is right about politics - even if Trump wins again he won’t do much while in office .. I honestly have very little faith in being able to change the political system .. so if we can’t fix that what exactly do we do then…?

“Where we are at there is no political solution” Doug is correct. It doesn’t matter if Trump gets in there again - he isn’t going to get much done and half the country will go insane again. It does not matter who we put in as president - our culture is so bent that it will be hard to bend it back

If history has proven anything to us it’s that nothing is abrupt. It’s all a slow conditioning. Tiny corrections at the back of the ship making huge differences to the end destination. Don’t get me wrong, I want change. I just don’t think we’ll see it materialize very soon.

I hear you, sir!...... but for perspective.... in the movie "Chariots of Fire" (1981), Eric Liddell gave a "consolation trophy" to the slow lad who came in behind the pack in the 440 they ran at that get-together they had in the Scottish Highlands (15 or 20(?) minutes into the movie)... set in 1923 or so.... .yeah its just a movie..... and maybe it didn't exactly happen that way.... and maybe they did throw that in there due to cultural influences already at work in 1981..... so on second thought........ never mind.....

@@daysofnoah When Charles Parham believed that he and his followers could speak with the Biblical gift of speaking in tongues (xenoglossia) he sent out numerous missionaries to foreign countries to use their gift to spread the gospel only to find out they had no such ability. Leading to many denying Pentecostalism. Instead of admitting he was wrong he simply changed the doctrine to glossolalia so he could continue his teaching. Nowhere in the Bible will you find the glossolalia as the biblical gift of speaking in tongues nor is that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second act of grace or that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is only evidenced by glossolalia.
