I got to see this band in Chicago at the Park West Theater. One of my favorite shows ever. We were fully expecting a new version of King Crimson or something.....we had no idea it was going to be "new wave" dance oriented music. Mind blown. Loved this band....too bad they only lasted a few months.

fripp and his buddy eno are the Masters of engineering electrical pulses into mind stimulating enrichment. let's not forget Below, Bruford, and Levin. Gave us 3 of my all-time favorite albums. Don't make me list the others. 🍻

No piece of music ever blew my mind the way this song did the first time I heard it.

This whole record, is so different than most people will expect to experience within music. One of my all time favorite things. And Fripp sounds enthused.

I bought this album when it was first released in 1981. This opening track floored me. Id play it for guests and they would be pleasingly amazed or put off... never an inbetween reaction!

Was lucky enough to see The League Of Gentlemen & Fripp at the Youngstown Agora, about 1980, absolutely blown away, I heard and knew all about him with King Crimson and Brian Eno, but never saw him live until then, incredible show and sound.

+Joe Garchar Cool! I grew up closer to Cleveland. I moved to Rochester NY in 1984. About a year later, I saw (virtually unknown) Red Hot Chili Peppers at a really small venue in Rochester called the Red Creek Tavern. Years later I discovered that the Red Creek Tavern was also one of the tour dates for this (League of Gentlemen) album.

What a great album! Not only Robert Fripp's precise cross-picking but also some really peppy Farfisa (or Vox?) organ by Barry Andrew. I really like Robert Fripp's late 70s/early 80s excursions: League of Gentlemen, "Discipline", "God Save the Queen", "Let the Power Fall" and especially "Exposure".
