In May 2024, @UNICEF, in partnership with Zambia's Ministry of Education, held the first training on blended learning aimed at integrating digital education in the country. The training, attended by 53 teachers, covered topics like blended learning techniques and online safety. Notable UNICEF personnel, such as Guillaume Michels and Anna Childs, provided strategic guidance during the initiative.
@airtelafrica3870Africa a telecommunications company, supported the effort by providing 50 routers to enhance internet connectivity in schools. The initiative has positively impacted schools like the UTH Special School in Lusaka, increasing engagement and motivation among students with special needs. This highlights the need for a national digital education strategy to ensure inclusive quality education for all students in Zambia.
