They need to start DFS over Rui, they need more defense with LeBron in the lineup, besides Rui would get more touches when he's playing of the bench and he can create his own shot which has been their problem with their depth. They should also replace Gabe with a play-making guard like Dennis or CP3. Lastly, they need to swap Knecht with Kesler. Knecht has great potential but Kesler would have a better impact with the team currently. They are basically the same age so it's not even a waste of potential.

AD won’t stay healthy forever, next year is Reaves last cheap year on his deal before he gets paid and isn’t a huge bargain anymore, and Steph could probably convince the Warriors to trade for LeBron, give a couple assets directly and then flip Wiggins for more assets later if he continues to play well. We can either be a team whose ceiling is round two with limited assets going forward or we can call it now and have an extra 6-8 1st round picks to rebuild with.

What “greatness” of LeBron James are we talking about in 2024-25? He is not by any measure an elite player this season. Not a top 20 scorer, not a top 20 rebounder (despite his clear size advantage), a terrible offensive rebounder, a low volume 3 pt shooter for a high minute guy (74th In the league ytd), a low volume FT shooter and average at best foul shooter, and by view and stats an awful defender ( low rank in steals and blocks and, again, below standard rebounder). He ranks 455 in the league in BPM- worst of any laker!!! Almost 100 pts more negative than Anthony Davis. His only real Impact positives in terms of being elite are a high 3 pt shooting % and assist numbers. But his trash effort and results on defense almost completely wipe out any offensive positives. And his is earning one of the top salaries in the NBA. LeBron James is years removed from being an elite Player. He is capable of flashes as is true for a lot of aging stars way past their primes. He is the reason the Lakers have no foreseeable path toward a title. He is a historically great player. He is not nor ever will be the GOAT but I will give him top 5 all time. But he needs to go. lakers should have cut ties with him this last offseason. No amount of Front office moves which are even remotely realistic at this point will build a title contender around this washed up former Super star. He is a superstar in name only at this point!

LAL could grab CJ McCollum (33 mil) or easier get would be Anfernee Simons (25 mil) from the Blazers. Knecht and filler works for either. They need that 20ppg scorer who csn create his own shot and hit catch & shoot 3's at a high clip.
