A very good interview and an excellent book, it is both well written and informative. The book leaves you with more questions, which I feel is good and in no way is a biased or malevolent towards Page. As a publication it is what it is a good, enjoyable and informative read. Thank you for the interview.

Thanks for that, David -- greatly appreciated. Mark is an excellent interviewer. If you haven't already, I'd be grateful if you could leave a short review on Amazon? Cheers from New Zealand!

If you know, you know. Watch Zeppelin's live performance of Dazed and Confused and it is obvious Page opens the corners and for him it was a ritual with an unaware audience of participants.
@RyanGoutbeck2 жыл бұрын
yeah he does do a solo in the 1973 MSG tour but I do not believe he was performing the "four corners ritual" mainly because it involves pointing to each point of the pentagram or corner but page pointed to 8 corners in that live performance so unless there is a black magic ritual he would have don't involving 8 points maybe but its not the opening corners ritual

@@woodslore4672 Bro I encourage you watch it for yourself just look up "led zeppelin dazed and confused msg 1973" you are correct there are only 4 compass directions (NESW) but as I already stated; page uses the "wand" (violin bow) to strike the guitar and point a total of 8 times now unless they discovered new bearings im pretty sure its just a showmanship thing if anything and again as I said if it was a 'magic spell' or 'ritual' of some kind its definitely not 'calling on the four corners' as that is 4 corners not 8

yeah jimmy was on a heroine bender. but when Kenneth Anger wanted the 40 min and jimmy only delivered 20. in jimmy's defense I think I remember an interview he claimed he was Waiting for more content to be produced by Anger because he wanted to see what he was working with.

Curse? Maybe. Karma? Definitely. I also think Page secretly revels in the mystique and darkness of Zeppelin.

I don't believe there's a ''curse'' but I do believe that anger is a jerk and clearly jealous of jimmy.

And little known fact on Led Zepp 3 etched on the actual LP are the words Do what Thou Wilt , a Crowley ref so weird , I love Page and his music but he is an oddball
@aporue58932 жыл бұрын
not weird at all.
@colinallen89242 жыл бұрын
What is weird about a Crowley reference? Page was/is interested in Crowley, particularly his philosophy that was encapsulated in the "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" quote; however, most people only know the quote and not the context. It is not suggesting that people should be able to do whatever they want regardless of the consequences or of the impact; it is about doing what is right and best, within reasonable limits. As for him being an oddball, he is unusual, but so are many other people.

The curse of Led Zeppelin is the same curse as Saturday Night Live had which was drugs, fame and a just a general hedonistic lifestyle. "Do what thou wilt" but understand karma will come back to bite you.

you don't even know the meaning of ''do what thou wilt'' .it's not literally to do anything you want,it's to do what you think you should do,and within reason.
