This song turned out to be the title track for our 3rd LP. This album, with the exception of "And One Day" ... "You Say ... "Queen of Paradise" they were all demos.(Queen of Paradise) was done with a gun to our heads..... Our backer insisted we do (Queen of Paradise) So, that means, an album of 11 songs, 8 songs were demos. Done in local studios with a staff producer from our backer - publisher Victor Benedetto of CAM-USA. Anyway, with all due respect, I must say, Damn! With a group like us, there should have been a producer like ...... Alan Parsons

Mr Finn I have been a fan of the Left Banke for a long time. Your debut is in my personal top 20 albums of all time. I am now hearing this song for the first time and am very impressed. Great melody! I wish things could have worked out better for The Left Banke!

Sadly, The Left Banke is empty now, they are all gone. I learned to roller skate on Saturday nights in the early 70's, thank goodness the DJ loved Walk Away Renee and Pretty Ballerina. So along with collecting bruises I got to hear some really great songs. They are haunting nearly mournful tunes that were well written, played and performed across generations but have a special place in this heart.

I played bass guitar on this track and came up with the instrumental middle part and the instrumental at the end of the song. Someone told me this song was a hit in Mexico City in the 1980's. A new release of the album came out recently with some Mike brown songs with Steve,Tom, and George on Vocals. RIP my old fiends.

I was, Charly, the one who told you about this song being a hit in Mexico City. I believe we were messaging through email. I lost access to that account and lost your email address. I remember telling you that for me, before Slash's riff on 'Sweet child of mine', used the same key that you used on 'Strangers on a train'. Glad to find you, man!

@@emiliopastrana7705 I remember you and what you told me back when. Nobody in The Left Banke knew this info about the song being a hit in Mexico City. I put together that instrumental part in Strangers. When someone copy's a musical movement it is the highest compliment one can receive. Good to hear from you Emlio.

Meh. As title tracks it's not as good as Walk away Renee/Pretty Ballerina. One part near the end reminds me of Ten Years After I'd Love To Change The World. The Beckie's we're good though!
