Join Lin , Storme and myself as we visit Weston in Hertfordshire , to search for the grave of a 14 foot giant , known as Jack o Legs , who stole from the rich to give to the poor , and suffered the ultimate fate ! As we search for the grave , I will tell you the story !

Hi Cassandra , yes it was worth the visit just for the 2 lovely ladies in the church , one who was playing the organ and the other who pointed out the cushion , and told me the story sign was down for refurbishment , or it might have been a wasted visit !

I swear I left a comment the day you posted this video, but I don’t see it now. I was saying how nice it is to see you, Lin, and Storme again. And I’m sure that I said something about Jack o legs being 14’ long and then folded in half, but I don’t remember now what I said. 😂 Enjoyed your video! I sure wish we had some giants here!

Ahhhhh Beth it comes to us all in the end ! I couldn’t find my glasses the other day or my spare pair searched all over until Lin told me I had 2 pairs on my head ! 😊😊but I’m glad you enjoyed the story Yes I questioned the folded in half theory , surely they would only need a 7ft grave in that case ? I would think there are all kind of problems in being a giant or having them around ! Probably good for window cleaning , roof repairs , and getting puss out of a tree though 🤣🤣

I really enjoyed this Lyndon. The story is uncannily similar to that of Tom Hickathrift, the giant who is buried at Tilney All Saints, in Norfolk. It's interesting how so many themes recur in folklore. Nice work, looking forward to the next one.👍

Morning Sean , yes I must admit I did think of your story about Tom when I was researching Jack , and it is fascinating how many places have slightly different versions of the same stories , Lin was wondering if we might catch your band doing a gig sometime ?

@@theexiledyellowbelly714 Hi Lyndon, soz for the late reply. I am in Suffolk at present and the internet comes and goes. Well, I played my last gig just before covid. After 40 years of playing in numerous bands, I guess you could say that I have retired from the music scene. At least for now.
