Finally, a genuine demonstration that deserves encouragement and applause! Typically, company demos of hardware/software, like those from NI, are so unconvincing that I would never purchase their products based on those demonstrations alone.

@MatsueMusic All Synapse Audio's plugins have a feature called Genetics that lets you fuse several presets to create a new one

What a demo guys!! excellent. I wish we could choose which engine (among a few) could be inside Osmose, even if i like the haken. Any news on upcoming presets for osmose (i thought would be delivered just after v2). Cheers!

The new presets run off the new version of Haken I don't think has been released so that will have to wait until then I believe.

Sounds amazing. Great demo tracks, too - feeling pretty inspired after watching this. Is it possible to map the MPE modulations to sliders on my midi controller? I don’t have the money to upgrade, but maybe there is a workaround?

Wish you could do those Push glissandos on the touché
@terminalbliss7 күн бұрын
Whatever is happening at 30 seconds with that sub body preset is amazing. I have an osmose and not the ableton push. Im guessing its just trying to quickly jump to all those notes spread across the keyboard (without glide) so its just quickly triggering each of them monophonically?
@janneckchristiansen27788 күн бұрын
I wish they would make the Osmose as a Midi controller only (no hardware synth). Like an SE version similar to the Touché SE.

Would be cool, but I've no sound on all 3 expansions 🤔 I use s touché se and a ASM HyrdaSynth with Polytouch, Lie and other Plugins works normaly, even the factory sounds of the legend. I've done a support ticket, maybe they can help me 🤗

Will the sound sets work if you don't have an MPE controller?
@AaronLevitz8 күн бұрын
They won’t sound terribly dynamic, if nothing provides the motion expected from your fingers. But you can probably edit the patches and assign a few strategic LFOs and envelopes.

That is an Ableton Push 3!
@Phileosophos9 күн бұрын
@@starcisismusic Aha! Thanks! I'm going to have to look at that. I've been coveting an Expressive E Osmose, but that would fit my desk better, I don't need another keyboard, and it looks like it has lovely MPE capability.
@starcisismusic9 күн бұрын
@@Phileosophos Well the Push is an absolutely fantastic controller, has a standalone version now too but worth noting that it is ridiculously expensive for what it’s capable in that form and it exclusively works with Ableton Live. I have been eyeing the Expressive E Osmose myself. But yet again, limited space is a bane to our existence haha
@Phileosophos8 күн бұрын
@@starcisismusic Agreed. I see the controller version lists for about $1k unlike the $1.7k for the Osmose. It's significantly cheaper. I'm really more of a keyboard guy, but I'm trying to find some good MPE controller. I've been using apps on my iPad Pro, but it's not the same.
@starcisismusic8 күн бұрын
@ Definitely! I am all for the Push. I already have a Push 2 so haven’t been able to justify buying the 3 - It is a great device that does accomplish a lot more than just a controller given the right scenario. The Push unfortunately is almost as much as the Osmose somehow in my country haha.

I don’t get this. I have legend hz, I have an osmose. And this is something entirely different I’m expected to pay for or what? Not clear from marketing so far.
@stockholmpublishings29376 күн бұрын
this is a seperate company making presets
@ExpressiveE4 күн бұрын
You only have to pay for the presets then. In a nutshell we've designed 300 MPE presets for the Legend HZ owners. They work with any MPE controller but were naturally fine-tuned for the Osmose. For people who don't own the Legend HZ, we also bundle the presets + the plugin at a very interesting price. Is it clearer? :)
@rhialto395 күн бұрын
This is great and all, but given how complex it is to program the Eaganmatrix I don't understand why you keep releasing these generic MPE preset packs but literally nothing similar for the actual Osmose engine. I can play MPE presets with a Push 3 (as your video shows) or multiple other devices. Why arent you working on more interesting presets for the Eaganmatrix which is the best thing about the Osmose in the first place? I have no objections to making MPE packs for any VST but NOTHING for the Eaganmatrix except what came in the box?
@ExpressiveE4 күн бұрын
Thank you for your honest feedback. The EaganMatrix is, as you stated it, a complex and powerful engine! It is a big task to work around it and we're hard at work at it. We're a small but passionate team and we listen to all feedback from the community. Please check our 2.0 osmose firmware video for a rough idea of Osmose developments for months to come. As for your remark on MPE presets, we're doing this because a lot of musicians and Osmose players asked us to do more for the synth on the controller side of things, and it was an easier endeavour to work compared to reworking the EM. But rest assured exciting news are coming soon :) Thanks for your support.
