Bappa Rawal, who went from Rajputana to Iran - all the way fighting and winning - and known there as Rustam who married there and had great progeny ruling that country. Col James Todd gave some description of him. One more book "Tales of Rajpoot Chivalry" by some unknown author, which was published by Calcutta University Press in 1938 also gives some more information on Bappa Rawal. In Chapter 1 titled as "Bappa Rawal" page 7 this books says that by his mother's side Bappa Rawal was connected to Parmar gotra and in 728 AD he came to Chittor which was ruled by a Parmar king, welcomed there, fought and won on his side but instead of going back to Chittor Bappa, flushed with victory, set to get more victories. He went to Gazni (in today's Afghanistan), defeated its king named Salim, married his daughter and put many Rajpoot chiefs as kings of neighboring areas. He is said to have 98 children and to have gone and conquered Isphan (Iran), Kandahar, Khorasan etc. He is said to have in all 130 children and lived 100 years. In old age he renounced the world and retired to mount Meru and died there. While young, Bappa Rawal is said to have met a hermit who gave him blessings of being "undefeatable person" in wars.
