So Bai can say "Jianghu is not just about kindness and friendship, it's more about the hearts and justice." The first two words in the Chinese subtitle are indeed 江湖.

The Chinese subtitle contains the phrase "jianghu", 江湖, "rivers and lakes", referring to the code of chivalry among martial arts (wuxia) practitioners. I think this mistake occurs again in the English subtitles, see my note to 0:51:49. Tubao's brother, Yang Tianyi: who's that? 0:23:02 "Let Mr. Bai use the rules of the jungle to meet King Ning." The Chinese subtitle contains 江湖, "jianghu", and we're already aware that King Ning, actually the imperial governor for this northwest region of the Northern Song empire, is an old wuxia buddy of Bai Yutang. As is said in an earlier installment of the sleek rat, people can be brothers without being friends.

So I must conclude that the dream in the title refers to the confused plots, but jianghu allows true comrades in the spirit of wuxia to remain at least as close together as the two sides of the road, as the closing song puts it. As the old US rock song put it, "Everybody wants to rule the world." (A few hours later) I suspect that either the producers had a lot of footage they threw away or they never shot the whole script in the first place or, even, they tried to make a movie without having a script first. So they put "dreamlike" in the title to explain the confusion.
