I have serious OCD when it comes to endings. Movies, games, TV shows. I will NEVER forgive SyFy for ending Stargate Universe without a proper ending. Half of me can't wait to play this game (as I've played Daybreak 1 and 2)... the other half... screams to wait for a proper ending. Luckily for me, I played CS1-4, then Reverie back to back, so that wasn't an issue.

Also, this game gives way more context to previous events and artifacts. The Recluse Cube was almost ASSUREDLY an artifiact designed to protect the tribe of space from the great reset that got manipulated by Kevin's stigma. Hell even the call back from Trails SC with the excavation in Calvard was pretty neat. Over 20,000 resets different parts of history probably made it here. Heck, even the way the Sept-Terrion of Space behaved, effectively as the Sept-Terrion of the present, makes sense in the grand scheme of things. If you keep a populace eternally happy, they're less likely to pursue the series of events that lead to the grand reset, leaving the Sept-Terrion of Space in control. Mirage literally put herself to sleep instead of seeing the future number of infinite resets that broke her heart for humanity. The Sept-Terrion of Steel and the Great Twilight being the moment where progress has effectively gone too far to be stopped leading to the inevitability of the Sept-Terrion of Time intervening. There is only one being who could have truly stopped this, and unfortunately KeA gave up her powers and going back to 1208 doesn't give us a chance to convince KeA of the necessity of keeping her powers or challenging the Sept-Terrion of Time on her own. There is a reason even the Grandmaster called her the Holy Child. However, knowing that she could see the future, it makes you wonder when Lloyd was talking to her if she in fact saw this timeline where humanity would finally break through and it required her to give up her powers. Final bonus theory: This was in fact the end of the Calvard arc. The next game is going to be a world tour game where Van is going to have to get all of the heroes together for one final push against the Sept-Terrion of Time and that's part of why the Sky remake is happening, because they needed updated Liberl visuals anyway since it had never been made in 3D. EDIT: TRUE Final Bonus Theory: I went back and listed to the Azure Arbitrator and really listend to the lyrics. We know the Alchemists were the decendents of the Tribe of Mirage and the Crois family chose to reject the goddess and start the DG Cult and KeA was their vessel. What if that entire process what the Tribe of Mirage's answer to avoiding the great reset, to create a being greater than the Sept-Terrion of Time? We know the lyrics in the final boss music in end of arc games usually has significance (it certainly did in Reverie with the Perfect Steel of Zero). KeA is indeed the being that was created to break the shackles of the Goddess and her rules of this world, or at least was the Tribe of Mirage's answer in the same way that the Liber Arc was the Tribe of Space's answer. Calvard MUST be the decendents of the Tribe of Time and the Oct-Genesis are THEIR answer to their own Sept-Terrion. The Tribe of Time has failed 20,000 times to prevent the great reset (technically 19,999). Mirage's answer was to create a being that would allow them to change the rules of causality, Space's answer was to be hidden away in the present, effectively preventing time from moving forward. Time's answer is to find a way to prevent the reset from happening once the process has started. The Sept-Terrions of Fire and Earth (The Body and Soul of humanity) as the Sept-Terrion of Steel serves as the final breaking point. If we believe that the Sept-Terrions of Wind and Water (Presumably the Mind and Life) are still out there, then their answer is to hide away, protecting the knowledge and experiences of the past resets and ensuring that life endures. Maybe I'm reading too much into this ending, but I see it coming together and the pieces are falling into place pretty nicely across the entirety of the Kiseki. The Gospel plan was about seeing what Space's answer would be in this reset. The Phantasmal Blaze plan was first to see if they could prevent the rivalries in the first place and then taken over by Erebonia to remove its curse, allowing for the extension of the world, giving us that precious time for the decendents of the Tribe of Time to find a way to prevent this reset, failing, but having a backup plan created from the failures of previous attempts. That could even provide an explanation as to why Erebonia, despire instigating a war for a day (and at the end of the war still being militarily in a 50 / 50 position against the entire rest of the continent), was okay paying such extreme reparations to Calvard. Some part of Erebonia knew that the reset was coming (likely Osborne) and probably had laid out instructions to the Imperial Government to ensure Calvard had whatever resources it needed.

Nah, you say progress but in the world where controlled by "steel" the cilivization will become puppets which solely live for the sake of progression for Ishmelga Eyes, not humanity. Even when the war started the timer of reset is suspended but when it stopped, the timer hastened. As for Kea, she capable to see the future, but she's not used that power yet. She only use it specifically to alter the cause from the past to gain results she wanted

Let's talk about how Crossbell is relevant to all that shit? It's literally the center of Zemuria. Sky was the beginning and is important, but Crossbell and what it introduced is relevant to everything until now. Crossbell is the center of Zemuria and the center of the entire series apparently. I think that in the next game, KeA will have a big role in the story again. The D:G Cult isn't something unimportant like a lot of people keep saying it is. They did really bad things, the worst things to people around Zemuria, but, maybe, they are right about something and this is why KeA exists in the first place.

What if the reason they chose to reject the goddess was because as the decendants of the tribe of Mirage they knew the great reset was basically inevitable and had to reject the goddess for a solution? Is grand reset also triggered by what is considered "sins"? Guessing that Kai 2 will be a "reset" of calvard arc, maybe those who holds the genesis will regain the memories of everything that happened prior to the reset

Rean/Crow/Yume/Lapis/Nina/Gm, there is no confirmation yet of this, but the chance is high for these individuals to remember or getting a glimpse of what happend in kai 4. @DemonLord99204 if im not mistaken, latoya sins are stole resources from the future/another timeline, covering up an image of the stars. And i suppose even all the AD things are connected to her as she is the one who created an alter core and the weird plant is all over her ancient lab. Just note that everything could end up differently if she actually works together and advise all the potential risks, but she chooses to go behind everyone back and let agnes take all the responsibility.

Oh, also, it was apparently data-mined. Someone found a way to read what was behind the censored words and Mare refers to herself as a Divine/Holy Beast.

I have no problem with Cliffhangers, but I don't like how they drag the game out too much with unnecessary battles and enemies, and their victory or defeat has no consequences for the main plot. After all, if winning or losing doesn't change anything, what's the point of fighting? The group's reaction and position regarding the situation they find themselves in or regarding the position of the factions with different plans doesn't help either. They basically don't take a clear position and don't contribute to any outcome, so they are irrelevant and powerless in this game. Maybe this is on purpose so that in the next game, when they recover the lost knowledge, they can change the outcome, but I still didn't like it.On the other hand, the gameplay and soundtrack are good, so my criticisms are limited to the plot.

I've seen theories saying that Yun is the holy beast of the sept terrion of time; if you look at the cards of the sept terrions the time one has an old man on it which could be him. He also seems to know more than he's letting on. I think he's telling Rean to find his own divergent laws weapon like Shizunas, or maybe he's telling him to reclaim the Sept Terrion of Steel (Valimar) so he can fight against the Zoa Gilstein that the Time Sept Terrion created

The Grand Reset happens every time the humans of Zemuria create technology that can reach outer space. This has happened 19,998 times before and each time the Sept Terrion of Time reset the world back to Septian Year 0, the great calamity. Agnes used a loophole and overwrote the Sept Terrion of Time so the reset would go back to the time period of Daybreak 1, not all the way back to year 0. She had to sacrifice herself to do this which meant removing herself from the timeline and everyone's memories. She basically bought everyone extra time to find a way to break the loops and deactivate the Sept Terrion of Time's resets

@@buttertoast1146 youre right, but unlike the septerion of mirage, the septerion of steel or rather the Divine Knights are still there, just out of human reach (said the Grandmaster herselves). And they have proven to be capable of re-established themselves back to the realm and that the connection between them and their awakener are still there. I actually looking forward to Cedric return since he was the Vermillion Knight awakener and according to Mariabell in Hajimari, the Arnor bloodline still hold great value even tho Testa-Rosa is gone. As far as i know, the only thing that make the Arnor special is that they are the only people that can become Testa-Rosa awakener. Edit: I actually wonder how long the Divine Knights has existed through out the reset, since they are the incarnation of the septerion of steel, they should be able to resist the reset and retain their memmory, yet they never mention anything about the reset to their awakener, including Valimar with all of his memmory returned at the end of CS4.

Well... I have a theory now. Daisuke Ono plays Van Daisuke Ono also Played Jotaro Both are connected to "Time" somehow. We know that Ouroboros enforcer number is tied somehow to time when they became recruited. We know that Ixis Jorda are enforcer "third from the last" - with current information its number 20. Jorda also said something about mr 5 and ms 12... BUT nothing on enforcer number 21... Which should be taken already (if there are more than 23)... But, thing is i think its still vacant... And i explain now. 21 corresponds to Tarot card "the World" (you see now the way im going here) I think... Van is going to be enforcer 21 - The world. 1. He works woth everyone 2. He has that "darkness" in his heart to be an enforcer, i think 3. Ixis and jorda were "named" enforcers in 1209... And since we are going back to 1208... 4. It makes sense if Van is made an enforcer around 1208-9 now. It would make sense to me since it's vacant now, and we know that forces our heroes struggle with "know" many other things and stuff from previous loops. And still - question is - will they take him out of order or with order or just count it as joined later or it doesnt matter with this number who knows. SO TL:DR - I think in next game Van gonna be named Enforcer 21 - The world. Who will name him? Maybe Grandmaster herself? Maybe Elroy Harwood, who knows. But one thing is certain. We now know that Ouroboros aren't all into being villains for sure. Question is... Will we get Ouroboros game? I hope we will, we still need to wait for cedric to reappear.

The "villains" in this game are all basically just trying to do what's best for everyone. The closest thing to actual villains in terms of intent would be Melchior's little clique of Alter Dawn. But Gramheart is just trying to save the world and his daughter and Hamilton (and Rene and everyone else working with her) simply has insurance on hand in case Gramheart fails (he does).

I have feeling that they'll do remakes from Sky till Crossbell or Cold Steel 2, making references to what happened already and later they'll continue the story. Something like, Final Fantasy Type-0, XIII-2, Stranger of Paradise and 7 Remake, NieR Replicant and Reincarnation. They and the Trails games already gave examples that the timeloops interact with each other, after all. I'm using these games as examples, because Trails seems to be going on the same direction since Crossbell. It's finally time to "Break the Cycle".

Remake the games is easier reusing assets. They do that all the time. It could be only remakes for new players or something really influenced by Kai's ending. We don't know yet. At most the FC remake will out before Kai 2 and that's AT MOST, because I still think there's a chance the remake gets pushed back and Kai 2 is prioritized.

Ok, about this whole things, I HOPE, Falcom don't backtrack. I DO think that eraisng yourself from the world in exchange to be able to hack into the Time sept terrion and protect the Loop from being fucked up, instead forcing it to reverse to a very early period of time is cool, HOWEVER, we saw this happen once. Van paid a huge price for using Gendel's power, and yet, they were able to "remove him" from his "Prison", buy pure sheer will power and friendship speech. However, I do NOT want that to be Agnès case. I really want that, somehow, if she can be freed from her destiny, that there's consequences for doing so, if not, again, her sacrifice is in vain. Same way as Crow death lost it's depth as soon as he was back, and I KNEW he would NOT die in CS4 because they already have cheapened the blow of his death with his return in CS3. Again, I want things to have consequences. Besides that I like this loop situation more than just unexplained multiple-timelines. If Time keeps backtracking to Year 0 after the great collapse, but it's not perfect, it makes sense. The artifacts for example, not being just erased, or at least not all of them being erased show that Time is not perfect itself as a Sept Terrion, but also, I do think there are not enough "full loops" either. If Agnès can return time to a point previously to Daybreak 1, then the Grand REset can chose what year it resets to. But who knows, Kondo already mentioned that they made the story as they create the games instead of FUCKING MAKING A BOOK with all plot points there. So there's a chance this is all for nothing. Or maybe Agnès won't be rescued until the actual last game, which makes sense. If they can break the Time Sept Terrion, then there's nothing "Protecting" Zemuria anymore, and we have to the VERY LEAST three important locations to see.

Why did Falcom drag this series for this long? We went from 2 kids going to sewers, to police fighting for justice, to school boys finding themselves, to destroying a cube that controls what Time? Oh my god. I can''t comprehend all this. Falcom should start a new series, not based on Zemuria. I like how every Ys is disconnected from previous series. Kiseki should go that route. I'm tired of seeing the same characters. In the end none of them could do anything.

Ys and Kiseki are treated differently, it’s been established from the beginning. It’s fine if you prefer Ys-style, but Kiseki is not Ys, it’s more about characters and world building. ‘Falcom should start a new series’ -> Tokyo Xanadu, you should check it out if you haven’t played it. Oh and its sequel has been teased since last year but still not confirmed yet.

Think it's fine personally. With the way they framed it a lot of stuff is possible again. So they have freedom to write within the constraints of the reset. I'm just hoping the next game is the actual wrap up as it should be for this arc
