Mike Campbell is an all-time great guitarist who has created so many iconic riffs that I have lost count. I can't imagine the Heartbreakers without him. "The Waiting" is a shining example. He was also fantastic when he toured with Fleetwood Mac.

I believe this is the most amazing band, my absolute favorite especially live. I saw them 16 times and always left wanting more and feeling like the world was a better place each and every time, I’m grateful for all that they gave to us. Great job and glad I came across this

I stood in line for tix to see the Wildflowers tour, was about 5 people from getting my ticket and it sold out. This is one band I always wanted to see more than anyone. Your very lucky to have seen them so much. Thank you for watching. I have alot of similar videos on Keith Richards, Rupert Neve, classic studio gear. And I have a new one coming soon I think you'll like. Check them out

Mike is such a great player and creates such masterful guitar parts. Stan's drumming also complimented Mike's playing perfectly. I miss those days.

He is so underrated. Mike Campbell is a guitar God!
@g_and_kikos_studio6 ай бұрын
Exactly. The parts he made aren't always the most flashy, but they're the most catchy and musical. Some of the best guitar ever in my opinion. Great techniques. Thanks for watching.

@@g_and_kikos_studio Just like you, I’m a huge fan. Right from the days of Mudcrutch and all the way through to The Dirty Knobs, anyone lucky enough to share a stage with Mike Campbell is lucky enough!

@@g_and_kikos_studio I love Tom Petty so much that I have to listen to him every day. It’s a part of my very existence. That means listening to Mike Campbell as well. Aren’t we lucky to have been alive during their lifetime?

@@Debcatawba So lucky. That music is very much part of the soundtrack of my life. The Knobs are coming pretty close to me in the summer, I'm gonna try to make it. We're lucky to have and appreciate that music

Great video!! Bravo 🙌🏼 when I was a 5th grader my parents got me my first Sony boom box and the full moon fever tape and I’ve been a Mike Campbell lover ever since …. I’m 42 so my whole life when I think of good guitar chops … I think of Mike. What a magnificently talented , down to earth , intelligent, funny, beautiful human being he is …. I just adore the dude ❤😎 thanks for the awesome video

It’s like you said … people should remember all the Petty stuff as petty/cambell just like Fry/Henley jagger/Richard’s page/plant etc but Tom does give Mike tons of credit and love in his interviews and Mike isn’t the kind of guy to get hung up on that stuff anyways which makes him that much cooler. Those who know….know 😎

Sure with the Heartbreakers would tour small venues. Mike, Benmont, even Stan (if included) could share vocals.

@g_and_kikos_homestudio sweet, yeah I've been listening to Dirty K's since Tom's Passing often. Awesome you got to see them. Where ya located? Play in a cover band that does a few petty tunes

@fredstriker2042 no I haven't seen them in person I just saw Stan with the Knobs on social media posts.. I would definitely go to a Knobs show if I get a chance. I'm in Louisville Ky.

Was always Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers even when it was a “solo” album…Mike never left his side…Benmont too, and Stan ended up being the drummer 90% of the time…best American rock band, and overall band of all time IMO…for over 40 yrs they did not miss…started out with rock masterpieces and only got better with age..the Mojo, Hypnotic Eye, MUDCRUTCH, Highway Companion…all so damn good…”Dreams Of Flying” especially rules…”Good Enough” too with Mike and his newly acquired 59 Les Paul
