They don't make them like Prahlad any more. An absolute legend. He's a treasure trove of information and anecdotes. Loved the episode, haven't laughed so hard in ages. Bring him back for a round 2, 3, 4... Wanted to share a Prahlad story. I was a rookie copywriter working at an agency in Chennai, and had just written his first set of ad films. The agency and client picked Prahlad's production house for the shoot. To cut down on costs the management decided that only I would travel for the shoot to Mumbai. I was nervous as hell to face this revered director alone, but also excited to be working him. I landed on the set on the first evening, and as is customary on most shoots Prahlad's crew made me sit behind him so I could look at the playback monitor. Prahlad was quite an intimidating figure back then, so I made sure to stay out of his way, but was eager to show him my creative prowess. So when I saw a chance I gathered some courage and made a suggestion to Prahlad. It was nearly 3 AM in the morning and he was grumpy from waiting for something to be fixed. He picked up the mike that he always had in his hand at a shoot, and boomed loud enough for the whole crew to hear - " Who made this agency idiot sit next to me?". It had the desired effect, I crawled back into the shell I came out of, and hardly said a word for the rest of the shoot. Thankfully, the films turned out great. Years later I told Prahlad this story and we had a hearty laugh about it.
