One massive plot hole with Rose in this episode. She’s apparently just on work experience but yet when Sutekh appears around the Tardis she’s one of the “Vital personnel” who isn’t required to leave the room? 😂

I wonder if UNIT are secretly monitoring or experimenting on Rose, because she’s the meta crisis baby. So it’s easier to have her there willingly on work experience, rather than having to bring her in by force.

I was really jazzed to see RTD return. The 60th specials were great, each in their own way. Then the Christmas special, a little too "Disney" for me, but cut some slack. It's a Christmas special, not a proper episode. Then Space Babies and The Devil's chord. I really began to fear "Disney-fication." But it's gotten better every story since. And, Bad Wolf that he is, he planted those seeds all along. I cannot wait for this next episode, but I'm bummed that we won't have another till Christmas!

Just finished listening to your podcast... so much I agree with and want to respond to. But I feel most called to share that as a non-UK viewer, I feel very alienated. I don't know what a Memory Tardis, or Tales of the Tardis, and I really don't like hearing about the writer warning me about a character called the "kind woman" who I should watch out for. I feel like if RTD or anyone in charge of DW wants people outside of the UK to take the show seriously as entertainment, they should really work on how they present this type of information. Obviously yes, I can google it but shouldn't this stuff be on Disney+ as well? It's a bit frustrating watching you guys have this big party and then feeling like I'm on a zoom call at the same party but not really having the same level of fun.

I think Ruby’s adopted mom went to UNIT because the plot needed to get Mrs Flood into the story and have a reason to come back to her home (where I think we’ll find something happened). And I think Rose was in the episode either just to get Ruby’s mom to UNIT or to facilitate using 14’s TARDIS next episode.
