Thank you for your excellent lectures about "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow." I read this story every year during the autumn season. By the way, I love your channel. I always look forward to new content.

Carrie, I read this story every year around September. I used to live up near the Tarry town area. Thank you for the historical information you provided in the beginning. I hope you will publish more videos soon.

I read it every year, too! I've never been to that area; do you think Irving's descriptions of the land are realistic?

Carrie, It's that time of year again, where I am reading the Legend of Sleepy Hollow with my 8th grade classes, and this summary video was extremely informative (and fun to watch), and you do so in a way that really brings it to life and digs much deeper than the surface. I enjoy and appreciate all your time and hard work. Happy Halloween!

I enjoy your work and wish it was available when I was back in school (way before the internet). Anyway, please consider working with James Fenimore Cooper and the Last of the Mohicans. The book is a bit different from the latest movie. I am luck to live in the region of upstate New York where, if the characters were real, they'd have passed right through our neighborhood. Thanks again, you have a great story telling style.

Hi there! I searched online and found out some information about Washington Irving being the "Father of American Literature." Some sources say that it is Irving. But other sources say that according to William Faulkner, it is Mark Twain. I'm just curious. What are your thoughts about this?
@CarrieHoover3 жыл бұрын
There's so many ways to think about this! Between the two, I would vote for Washington Irving, but I think a lot of readers might argue for an earlier author, like James Fenimore Cooper or Charles Brockden Brown.
