I started playing Spyro again after watching you play this so many years ago. You were freakishly good at the legend series of games and I wanted to be just as good. Crazy to think it was 12 years ago. Thank you for the memories DreadArkive.

I really love the legend of spyro series more than the older versions of spyro. I like that the monsters you encounter have health bars instead of in the old spyro, one hit they are dead. I like how you have a mana bar, unlike the older spyro. And i love the story line. Each older spyro game seemed the same. collect gems, beat up monsters, clear worlds, and beat some boss up. As technology gets better, we enchance gaming. I still love playing the older spyro's but this is something different&new

lol i LOVE this series :D old spyro was always fun to play but i wanted to play something more...like be able to breath a stream of fire or FLY and thank god this series finally delivers :3

I beat this game about a month after I got it. Once you get the Earth Bomb than you can pretty much beat the game. Cynder is definitely one of my favorite characters in the story. She has a lot of mystery involved, and there's just something about her that I love :D

Spyro,Crash bandicoot for ps1 were the best....although a game not mentioned here. . .Medievil. . .I think medievil,spyro and crash are the best games made.

I have to agree. Though I haven't gotten to play a whole lot of the original Spyro games, it was the Legend of Spyro series that got me into the franchise, and kept me in it. =)

i remember when i was young and this game came out, my sis bought this game and when i play it i fell in love with this game because the elements and story but the graphics could of been better. i gave this game a 8 out of 10 which in my opinion was way better than eternal night

I think it's also harder because i'm used to the basics, charge and breath fire at them or in a frozen place breathing ice. XD But no slashy, tail whacky business. LOL. Anyway i salute you, i really do. I prefer watching these ones! ^^

@RobinBak This is not to be confused with the original series. This is a different Spyro series so don't even hate. It's not the same cute platforming comedy. This is LEGEND OF SPYRO, not Spyro the Dragon's main series. It can have different elements in the series as long as it does not affect the main stream series. This is more of a spinoff series.

sparx is played by David spade who also played as kuzco in the emperors new groove and kronks new groove, he also played as cj in 8 simple rules.

I don't see why people are against this game so much... I like the ned LoS games! and i hope to see another one soon! Those games have a lot more deep history in it, and it's more historicly driven (sorry for spelling). I like how they changed the game a bit. I really do hope to see them continue the old series. BUT! aswell with the new LoS series! The history can't just stop like that :O Anyway, great games, all of them! Hurray for our little violet dragon :D and Cynder!

@KoolDawg99 They had a change of three different voice actors for him over the three games. In A New Beginning it was David Spade who voiced Sparx, in The Eternal Night, it was Billy West and for Dawn of the Dragon, it was Wayne Brady.

When i was younger i had a PS 1 and i played every 3 spyros (against Gnasty, Ripto and that blue crocodile queen) and it was my favourite game....now i have PS 2 and i'd like to buy spyro but i don't know which one is the best and this is really different from the first 3 isn't it? please give me the tip which one is the best and which one is good as spyro 1,2,3...thank you ;) and excuse my bad english i am from CR

Wow, I have to say this game looks different from most of the other ones I've seen. Almost shows the game like a whole movie, like, literally. Just hack out all of game stuff on screen and you could put it on the big screen. I'm lovin' it. :D

@SeeminglessEndings I recommend it. personally think you should play this and Crash of the Titans half-way through before making a complete judgement. Preferably through the whole game, though. Just reocmmendations. If you want to know where to look for them, I recommend Ebay and Amazon.

My 2 cents about the Spyro series. If You love exploration such as collecting gems, orbs, dragon eggs and other items to unlock paths, the Spyro series for PS1 are the best. If You love more more fighting and less exploration, Legend of Spyro: A New Begining and Eternal Night is for you. Now if You prefer BOTH EXPLORATION. AND FIGHTING, Legend of Spyro: Dawn of The Dragon is the game for all Spyro fans.

@SE So it's fun to watch, but not to play? I'm not trying to be offensive, but have you ever played them? They're also quite enjoyable to play. The new games aren't bad just for being different. Many games have character redesigns and gameplay changes. That never makes them automatically suck, as long as the gameplay's good. I was never into the old Spyro that much, but did enjoy them at one time and still enjoy the old Crash games. What does loving the old games have to do with hating the new?

1st 3 games will always be the better ones...they are the classics, played since i was 5, now 17 and still loving spyro! I'ma shardcore spyro fan staying true to the classics! I could not get into this game! But skylanders will always be the worst! I HATE skylanders. Though i like your walkthrough of this one. I bought this a few years ago, couldn't get into it, so i gave up XD and sold it! :'O

so true brother, i miss the old gameplay of Spyro the dragon and crash bandicoot 1, most of the latest games for those characters arent that good now, especially the Skylanders, i would doubt that kids nowadays even know the original spyro and crash games, ive been playing the original spyro and crash games for 13 years now, and i was born in 1997, i watched the series go down the drain, although i may admit the reboot series is nice, i would still prefer spyro 1, 2 & 3 over the reboot though.

- Minor changes aren't bad, and if a character's design is too bland or uninspired, it can handle a bit more revamping. And variety is variety. It doesn't matter if it add variety in what you did before, or does something new, both are good. But something new is better. Including both is the best choice, though -Every new or returning character aside from Shadow in 06' was there to deepen the story. How do you fail to see this? Sonic never fell, just changed. Why is that so hard to accept?
