Unrelated to this video but I'd love to see a video in the future on the tiniest possible map where each person starts with just 1 tree, 1 stone tile and 1 gold tile but they are permanent and neve run out. I'm not an expert so this may need to be further balanced somehow but I think it would make for an interesting dynamic as everyone would gain resources at the same rates (assuming they don't have too few villagers on them for some reason). The reason I say it should be the tiniest map is just because well, the map is gonna be empty anyway so it might as well be.

Okay, I have been using this exact strat in practice 1-v-1s with the Extreme AI @ 125% handicap when I'm not playing ranked. It's the only one I can consistently win with on those settings. But I make sure I can hit the primary gold and you need an immediate siege workshop with mangonels behind the castle to fend off the stream of rams coming your way. And you need to keep miners on stone for repairs and eventual castle creep.

People don't drop on acro? There was period a few months ago when it was in the map pool that it was all I did whenever I got that map (I hate it). Old Portugese and Spanish got me like 400 elo (to ~1700ish) only for me to lose it whenever I was forced to play the chess maps (Arena/Arabia - Chess is more about memorization than ideas and because those two maps have been played for longer than some people have been alive its more about blind BO's instead of adapting)

That move by blue with the scouts to force yellow's eco idle is genuinely a decent strat for lower ELOs. I used to play a lot of WC3 and you could do the same thing vs humans super early with your hero and tank their gold/wood production and then wind walk away. I used to do that every single game vs humans (work work) lol.

This is the best Legend video ever man how is Dragu not more popular. What he did to Red in the second to last game was absolutely ruthless with the context of castle dropping everybody and instantly making army which then was used to stop Reds drop. This guy genuinely has ABSURD map awareness and scouting, he also seems to ring the bell to be lazy while he actively controls the castle drop on the front without looking away which makes the bell ring so much funnier its the rare exception he's not bad he just really really likes castle dropping he can't look away lmao. He can climb in elo easy with that level of scouting alone it wins games man, it really does.

I got above 1200 elo with random civ by only doing all-in man at arm-tower rush followed by archers every time. Then I tried more meta civbased strategies and fell back to 1000, then slowly climbed back to my old feudalrusher elo.

Would definitely love more videos of this legend. So to answer GigiNapoli - (spoliers) dragulievic does not use the exact same strategy. He reacts to the map and seems to be picking Vietnamese mostly but there are other civs and other strats that he is willing to try. Really love it that there is a 'LEL' who is being creative.

This map might benefit yellow actually even through its really open. Because everything is so far away, people on this ELO are probably less likely to attack early.

A counter to a castle drop I'd like to try once is dropping a siege workshop right next to it, plugging the sides between the two buildings with walls and then just ramming it down.

You could try asking Lowko, Winter, or Harstem they're probably the most active Starcraft 2 KZbinrs and they all regularly cast games. I know they have played AOE4, and I'm pretty sure Lowko has played AOE2, and I know Lowko has his own "low elo legends" type series where he casts user submitted games. But Lowko and Harstem both Dutch so making the time work might be hard. I think Winter lives in the western hemisphere, but I don't watch him as much so I'm not sure.
