Zelda is my favorite series, and seeing this beautiful game just brings a tear to my eye. I'm always the guy that says "It can only get better from here," and I have to agree. The transition from A Link Between Worlds to Breath of the Wild is astounding, and I mean visually. yeah, each game, no matter what series, is going to look different somehow, but it's how it's main protagonist are portrayed in that style is the most important in my opinion. you're doing a great job Nintendo. keep it up!

Tyler And Josh I'm not judging the game. I'm going to buy it on NX. I was happy when I read this post that it's the Wii U edition being demo'd because it really does look very dated graphically. It probably won't look better come March 2017 unless you by the NX version (hopefully the NX version will be a major upgrade and not just slight tweaks you can barely notice). :)

Actually in the videos they say that you don't have to do the shrines in specific order, and that's true, but you do HAVE to complete all 4 shrines in the plateau before you move on because without the paraglider (which you get from the old man after completing these 4) you will fall to your death whenever you try to leave the plateau. It still leaves a little freedom on if you get magnets, bombs, stasis, or cryonis in a certain order, but not much past that for the first 4. This kind of contradicts the fact that you can beat the game within 15 minutes, maybe a couple hours if your good enough.

People were bitching about skyward sword because it was so linear and small and people are now bitching about a world that is too open. Give me break. This game looks awesome. Zelda needs to evolve. So there is some voice acting, great! It doesn't look to be throughout the game, only at certain segments. Besides we had navi and midna and fi chirping at us throughout those games. Characters with voices aren't new. The fact that they're speaking english is new.

Kongo Neither of those statements are true. Whether or not Breath of the Wild does well, Nintendo will still need a strong library of both exclusives and cross-platform games for the NX to succeed. A last minute port of the Wii U's most anticipated game isn't going to help in that regard. And Nintendo isn't having an issue with staying in the gaming market. They've been turning a profit on the Wii U since the first six months were over, and the 3DS is still going strong.

Retro Hero 276 Not really, it is TP's design but in HD. There's no blend. Which I'm ok with that, TP's design is the best thus far (or 2nd best if you count Hyrule Warriors). However smash 4 did include a color palette variation of Link that represents SS, and a Fierce Deity color variation too, which are both cool.

Honestly I think we don't need that cinematic anymore. At least not all the time. It was long, repetitive, and always lead to the ridiculously long tutorial boxes that we didn't really need. Egoraptor was right in that they waste a lot of time; as long as the trip to reach the chest is adequately challenging and suspenseful, we don't need a big flashy cutscene for every item.

+Jacques the Comic I can name titles that sound way better than the legend of Zelda. The legend of Hyrule, Legends of the Hero, wielders of the triforce, Legend of the guardian, guardian of the goddess, fate of the hero, the legend of the triforce, the dark cycle, The Quest for Zelda, The kingdom of Hyrule, and THE ADVENTURE OF LINK... Actually, most of the title I just thought of suck, I thought of these off the top of my head though soooooo... Pick one. There's bound to be a better title than the legend of Zelda in there.

I think he means it has the ingredients to become, excuse the bad pun, a legend. Ocarina of Time is not only widely regarded by many the best Zelda game of all time, it is also regarded as the BEST game of all time on many lists. I could look it up if I had to. I believe that's what he meant by his comment.
