This sounds like if the Zonai built the tower on a floating island, but it's trapped in permanent stasis mid free fall. With Link rotating the whole tower in the present, and entering the past in some parts during it's destruction for puzzles.

Imagine a tower that was built in the Depths of Hyrule and reaches the surface and far into the skies. Much like the labyrinths but it's all one fully built structure, reaching into the heavens. It's much more complex and terrifying. I can even see the dragons spiraling around it. The Tower Temple starts in the Depths, and the only way to beat it is to head to the top and acquire an item and head all the way back down to the Depths to open/unlock a door that was there at the beginning. Kinda like the Temple of Time from Twilight Princess

A complete open world reimagining of Termina would be very interesting, but the reason I love MM is more of the personal touch is has with NPCs all mattering. Essentially, more of what BotW and TotK are technically not. If I can have both, then heck yeah, but I can't imagine how complex things would be to have every NPC and event on a clock in such a huge world. (I'd love that though! A personable, open world of characters with hopes, dreams, and fears.)

I've said this on other videos, a Majora's Mask reimagining in the BotW engine would definitely work if it was in a way smaller map, with the open world exploration still present, but way more focused on the NPCs lives and all those "little" details that make the original game so frustrating and beautiful at the same time, making us truly care and fear for whatever happens to every single one of the characters.

Stone tower… a tower that is deep isolated in a region that soaks with tears and blood of soliders. A tower that was scale to pierce the sky, maybe even reach the heavens, and was so tall that you can view it from your home. Such a urban legend with missed opportunities for it to return in ToTK

I feel Stone Tower has just an enormous amount of potential lore wise, all it has seen, all the lives lost in there, all the dark magic and rituals that have been done in that temple, so much has happened in there, and we know little to nothing about it! The Curiosity Shop owner mentions how the money-obsessed heathen Sakon is from Ikana Village, but the settlement was abandoned and forsaken... but the tower remains... possibly the town was flipped upside down, united with the Inverted Stone Tower section... mysteries, folklore, and location make a dead dynasty's collection. A hike as high as the sky, below the heavens pry.

This arrangement is absolutely fascinating. As someone else said, you really understand how BOTW/TOTK's music is constructed, but I can't stress enough how interesting *both* of these variants are, especially when compared to the original tracks. They're familiar and strike similar emotions, but the slower pace, the instruments used, the *tone*... they feel like remixes that really stand alongside the originals, as distinct counterparts. Great stuff!

I AM JUST IN TIME !! i remember instantly loving the stone tower temple music the second I heard it while playing majora's mask, and now I know in botw style it is just as incredible. I love the momentary pauses in the music where it feels like you're progressing through one of the divine beasts, and this gives such an amazing botw dungeon feel. the totk chanting sound effects for the inverted one was perfect and really tied together the vaguely unsettling and very creepy vibe of the stone tower temple, plus there were times where it reminded me of the gerduo music, which is definitely close to the desolate environment the stone tower temple is found in. great work again once again !!! :]]]

Masks: 19 Songs: 9 Heart Pieces: 0 Bottles: 5 Hearts: 27 (can probably be translated to 17) Interesting to try to work out what's missing here. Obviously two of the missing masks are the Giant's Mask and the Fierce Deity's Mask, and two of the missing Hearts are the Twinmold Heart Container and the Heart Pieces from the Moon. I assume the Gibdo Mask is also one of the missing Masks, as the game pretty much takes you by the hand to the well after you get it. They have to have the Garo Mask to get up there, and the Captain's Hat because they have 9 songs. While some might assume they're missing the Couple's Mask, that feels like a dangerous assumption to make. However, I will give it a heavy possibility. If it is one of the missing Masks, my money is on the other being the Postman's Hat. That would also help determine which bottle is missing, as well as identify one of the missing Heart Pieces. On the other hand, my other thought is that they have the Couple's Mask but completely missed the Keaton Mask, Postman's Hat, Chateau Bottle thing. Or they got the Gibdo Mask and just haven't been to the well yet and haven't done any of the Couple's Mask quest yet. Ah! I got it! The missing song is obviously the Elegy of Emptiness; no way it could be any other. The missing bottle is the Chateau bottle you get from Madame Aroma. Aside from the two masks and two hearts that are missing simply from lack of progression, the other three masks they're missing are the Keaton Mask, the Postman's Hat, and the Couple's Mask. The four missing Heart Pieces are the ones locked behind each of those masks, and the one in Ikana Castle.

Oh man you have no idea how happy your comment has just made me! This is exactly what I wished I could see since the first BotW style video I uploaded, someone making theories and calculations regarding the advancing of the game with only the screen! Now, just for the fun of it let me tell you what I had in mind putting those numbers and elements: First, the number of hearts, I thought there should be way more hearts than the OG game because it's an open world reimagining of MM, so naturally, it should be a bigger game with more side quests and adventures, and a thing that really bugged me from BotW and TotK was the rewards you get after finishing a quest, so instead of getting, let's say, 5 armored carps or 50 rupees, I think it'd be more rewarding to get a heart piece, just like in MM. NOW, you did get the missing heart pieces right! The Twinmold heart container, the 4 Moon heart pieces, and the 4 heart pieces for each 4 masks, which takes me to the next part! The masks! The number of all the masks in MM is actually 24, so in this loading screen, the player is missing 7 masks, this is how I made my math: 4 masks that end up giving the player a Heart Piece (which could really be any mask that you don't necessarily need to move on story-wise such as, like you said, the Keaton Mask, Postman's Hat, Couple's Mask, etc. so in that part you can be sure that you're right, since there are many masks in that criteria) and 3 masks that do not give you any Heart Pieces, which are? EXACTLY! The Giant's Mask, Fierce Deity's Mask, aaaand... the Bomb Mask! so that gives us a total of 7 remaining masks. Now, you got two little things different than what I thought! First, the one last missing song is Oath to Order, which you get after completing the Stone Tower Temple! Aaand the second one, is the bottle! I actually was thinking the last bottle would be the one you get on the grave digging quest with Dampé, (I based this on the N64 version) but this one could actually be any bottle in the game! (well, for the exception of the Koume and Kotake one). Still, feel free to correct me in anything that could've slipped past me! Again, thanks so so much for taking the time to analyze this Devon!!! I truly never expected anyone to do this amazing thing!

This is so cool. This is one of the coolest things I've ever heard and one of the coolest ideas for a project I've ever seen. The idea of being able to explore Termina in a Breath of the Wild style game is so tantalizing and interesting to think about and these arrangements do an amazing job at helping me imagine my favorite game ever made in a new light. It's so interesting to think about how BOTW and Majora's Mask's mechanics would come together, especially with the transformation masks being able to play into the exploration BOTW has by giving the player new and interesting means to interact with the world around them. Just thinking about how the Zora mask ALONE could open up entirely new possibilities with any body of water is so god damn cool. This feels so natural and you do a PHENOMENAL job at making these arrangements *feel* natural; Like Nintendo themselves arranged them. I think it would be cool if you made one of these for the Great Bay Temple theme at some point. It's not my favorite track from the game by any means despite it being used in my favorite temple, but I think it would be an interesting challenge since it sounds very unnatural and robotic and it could lead to a very interesting result.

I absolutely agree with you, one of my biggest personal fan dreams is to see Majora's Mask (which is my fav Zelda game) remade and remastered in a proper and bigger scale, even with a sequel I'd completely go crazy, and I thought that it'd be amazing to see any of that in the style of BotW and TotK. So it's nice to see that idea is to the liking of many other people! And yess! I'll eventually get to Great Bay Temple, I actually have multiple ideas for this so I'm excited to tackle on that and see how it ends up!

I initially thought of doing something like that for this, but that would've needed the inclusion of the 4 terminals in some way, and I wanted to keep it a bit more inclined to Majora's Mask structure-wise, but maybe for Great Bay Temple i can include something like that for each activated water current! This has the atmosphere of the BotW style, but has the much more melodic DNA of classic Zelda tunes. I think the emotion and soul you're describing is that: the confidence to let the melody of the song breathe.

The Stone Tower Temple gets flipped upside down repeatedly in Majora's Mask and it's part of many of its puzzles. There's a separate track that plays when it's upside down, that is the inverted version

Hilarious. The nature of most of this garbage soundtrack is to be ambient and unobtrusive. So when you try to adapt an actual piece of music into this garbage style, it feels like botw is trying to restrain it but failing to do so. Basically, any song from another zelda adapted to this "style" will fail to remain reminiscent of botw because botw is garbage. An adapted song will still just sound like itself because the botw style has no musical identity of its own on account of how sparse and nothing it is. Man i hate botw/totk
