I'm so glad this isn't some show off video where he never gets hit or speeds through bosses. You play naturally, and show the struggle of the average player. You allow the bosses to present themselves dangerously as they were intended. So thank you for treasuring the game more than your ego. You rock.

Indeed, though i play all my games for fun, which sadly seems to affect people in a negative way:(
@Tnw091810 жыл бұрын
Fjärilsmannen It's not so much that as it's the fact that you make the game harder on yourself the way you're playing it. You make simple tasks harder and that's what really annoys people. Especially when they have played the game themselves. There's technically no 'right' or 'wrong' way to play, and it's all fun, but it's really annoying when you see someone doing something else when it's obvious as to what you should have done instead. Even I had a few facepalm moments watching your video. ;) So long as you had fun, it's all good.
@Fjarilsmannen10 жыл бұрын
Tasha Capps Can't deny that. But as i never actually bother writing about i probably take it differently. But well only thing i can say is, if you dislike it so much that it frustrates you, i apologies, and would suggest looking for another playthrough that does the job more efficiently:)

Fjärilsmannen Lol, it didn't frustrate me as much as made me laugh and go "Er....ok...that's one way to do it". I hope you didn't take any offense-I just saw a bunch of negative comments on here and figured I'd add my two cents on why I figured people are bashing your play style.

Tasha Capps Well if it made you laugh it makes me happy;)! No worries, i am quite neutral when it comes to negative comments, i try to understand why they complain and see it as critique rather than just bad mouthing. But that being said, most will probably stay the same as i sadly can't make my play style more efficient as, well it's just how i play;P

My OoT boss ratings... Gohma: Really fun. even though i hated spiders. King Dodongo: Died once as a kid because i didnt know what to do, but then i thought up a strategy and beat it! Barinade: Freaked out the first time i saw this dude. But it was fun overall Phantom Ganon: Omfg. this boss was the stuff. Volgagia: Loved the music but... I feel like they could've done a better job and i know this is a N64 console game e.e Morpha: Difficult, but due to targeting, it was more easy for me :P Bongo Bongo, The second boss i faced where you hit its hands and its eye(s) I loved this battle. Bongo Bongo playing his Bongos but ur liek "Stfu" then he tries to kill you xD Twinrova: First Phase: I didnt like this phase because the fire and ice sisters kept moving around and it was difficult to land a hit. Gannondorf Phase I: Loved playing tennis with gannon, im liek 'Dis gunna be epic fighting the final boss" Gannondorf "Tennis link?" me "O_O" Gannondork phase 2 Epic.

Since Ocarina has some rather simple bosses here they all are. 1. Deku Scrub Brothers: This is not really a full fledged boss or even a min-boss but it is the closest thing to a mini-boss in the Deku Tree. When you defeat one of the Deku Scrubs in the dungeon he says something like "twenty three is number one." You will be confronted with 3 Deku Scrubs all ready to spit nuts at you. Pull out your shield and deflect the nuts back at them in this order. Middle, Right, Left. The left one will then try to flee so lock on him and catch him. After giving you a hint on the boss they flee in disgust begging forgiveness. Not that it matters because Gohma is going down. 2. Gohma: This thing is the "curse" casted on the Deku Tree. A parasite lodged in his roots feeding off his very essence until he withers away. When you enter the room Gohma starts shuffling on the ceiling. Press the up C button or tap the eye icon on your 3-DS touch screen then look up at the ceiling. That's one evil looking eyeball. Gohma drops down and roars at you starting the battle. Her weakness is quite obviously the eye ball a sort of recurring trend of Nintendo bosses. Aim for the eye. Get close to Gohma but not too close and back away as she lowers her claws. They get stuck in the ground and Gohma struggles to pull them out. Pull out your Fairy Slingshot and shoot a Deku Seed in Gohma's eyeball. Now run up to the stunned spider crab hybrid parasite and go melee with the Kokiri Sword on her eye. She will then retreat to the ceiling and drop Gohma Eggs on you. Either attack the eggs as they fall or take out the Gohma Larva dodging their jumps and hitting each one two times. Ghoma then drops down and repeats her previous attacks. Stun her again and repeat. There are numerous ways to cheat this boss. You can also use Deku Nuts but the stun does not last long. You can also if you are a real good shot hit her in the eye as she tries to lay eggs. This stuns her longer if it connects. No matter what way you do it, it all boils down to hacking the eye until she crumbles to dust. 3. Lizalfos: Your first of 2 mini-bosses in Dodongo's Cavern are a pair of Lizalfos. Lizard men with swords that like to jump around. They work in a tag team like fashion. One flees while the other attacks and they take turns. The arena here is pretty dangerous as it comprises of several platforms over lava. Stay near the entrance then when a Lizalfos comes at you attack him with your sword. The reptile will usually then jump over you then counter attack so be ready to jump out of the way of the sword then quickly hit him back. The Lizalfos will eventually retreat to lick his wounds while his buddy fights you. Take him on the same way. Just keep taking them on and let them come to you until they are both dead. 4. Lizalfos: This is similar to the last battle but this fight has a pit in the back end of the room as you are on a higher floor. If you fall off you have to retrace your steps to get back here. Other then that it's the same fight as before. Stay near the entrance and let them come to you. 5. King Dodongo: This monster is the cause of famine that ravages the people of the mountains. He is a giant dinosaur. King Dodongo has a lava pit in the center of the room with the only safe places to stand being the edges of the paths that surround the pit. This is also where the battle takes place. King Dodongo will rear back to breathe fire balls at you that are pretty big but you can avoid them if you stay on the small slope in between the lava and the pathway. To defeat him simply wait until he opens his mouth then lob a Bomb or Bomb Flower in his mouth. This stuns him allowing you to hit his head with your sword. K.D. will respond by rolling around the room. Again stand on the edges of the path to avoid it then when he turns around after rolling let him have it with another bomb. Repeat until he is nothing but a cooled magma fossil. 6. Big Octo: This is basically a gigantic Octorok and it's sort of like a mini-game boss. Basically this guy moves about his lair in Jabu-Jabu's Belly charging in a circular fashion. You can't avoid his charges by simply sidestepping them. The path is to narrow and the rotating platform in the room's center is covered in teeth that hurt you. Instead roll ahead and keep your distance. Once you got enough distance toss the Boomerang at Big Octo. Now comes the mini-game aspect. Big Octo will turn around. Toss the Boomerang at him again as he is spinning recovering from his initial stun. Try and time your toss so you stop him from spinning while his butt is facing you. This reveals a giant green eye you can stab. Big Octo will now turn around and start charging the opposite way. If he ends up facing you stun him again and try again. That's all there is to this guy. He charges faster as he takes more damage but the battle is otherwise the same. 7. Barinade: This is a fun boss and seems to be the inspiration behind bosses like Diababa and Kalle Demos. Barinade is a giant...heart? Well it is some sort of thing I am guessing it's a parasitic heart. Well the boss is basically clinging to the ceiling in the first phase using a set of veins to hold it up. You know what to do. Use the Boomerang and cut down the veins holding Barinade to the ceiling. All the while side step his laser shots. You can tell where he is aiming by the dish like tentacles which point where he fires. After you detach him from the ceiling he surrounds himself with a bunch of Bari. He swings the Bari around a bit so keep away from them and eventually the current ceases. At this point use the Boomerang to remove all the Bari repeating if necessary. Once you do that he comes back with another set. This time there is no pause in the Bari rather he slows down the speed of them. He can extend the currents though as he moves around so be careful. Once they slow down target Barinade and hit him with the Boomerang then take out the Bari like usual. Now stripped of all of his defenses Barinade gets angry and starts spinning around the room firing lasers like crazy. Dodge the beams and hit Barinade with the Boomerang then as he is stunned run up and hit him with your sword. He then sinks into the ground to shoot more lasers at you that you can sidestep dodge. Then when he rises stun and hit him again. Repeat until he explodes. 8. Stalfos: The first of 3 minor bosses in the Forest Temple is a pair of Stalfos. These guys are a good test of your skill. They carry shields that can block most attacks. They have 2 attacks. They will either do a simple double swing of their jagged daggers or they will jump back then jump at you. Simply stand still and wait for their attack. Each time they attack they drop their guard so if you are quick on the draw you can get a hit in yourself. The best way to defeat these is try and get them to jump away then jump at you and then hit them with a Master Sword right in their crotch bones. If you are lucky you can do this multiple times. If you run low on health break some of the pots in the room. One of which contains a useful Fairy. 9. Stalfos: This time you must fight 4 of these guys. The first phase there is a pit in the middle of the room. They can float over it but you can't. Stay away from the center and take the fight to the sides using the same strategy as before. Eventually the room you are in merges with the room below and 2 more pop up. This is the same fight as before but these ones fall apart after being defeated. Alternate between damaging one then damaging the other so you can take them both out quickly in the end as if the remains of one is still around long enough while fighting the other that one can regenerate however if you defeat both of them they both die. 10. Meg: This really is the only Poe Sister that is a boss. The rest are more or less common enemies. After defeating Jo, Amy and Beth the leader can be found in the main foyer. Meg attacks by creating 3 clones of herself. The real Meg is the one that spins once the clones appear so keep an eye out for that and attack her with your Bow. If you miss too many times or take too long Meg tries to spin into you with her torch before creating a new set of clones and resuming her attack. It takes about 5 arrows to the face to destroy her. 11. Phantom Ganon: OMG IT'S GANON! No that would be too soon. Ganon pulls off his mask revealing a nasty skull. This is Phantom Ganon. The shadow avatar of the real Ganon. During this fight pay close attention to the arena. There are several arrows on the arena. These are safe zones. Phantom Ganon rides the ghost of Ganon's loyal black steed jumping from portrait to portrait all the while he shoots lightning down that spreads out to various corners of the arena. Stand on those arrows to avoid this attack. Pull out your Bow and look at the paintings. Try and find the one painting that is lighter then the rest. This is the one that Phantom Ganon will emerge from. When he tries to pop out hit him with an arrow. As this phase progresses Phantom Ganon may trick you with a clone that moves towards a painting but then turns around while the real jumps out usually on the opposite end to use his lightning. Remember to pay close attention to the detail of the paintings using the safe zones if necessary. After a while Phantom Ganon ditches the horse and fights you himself pulling out a staff. If you fought Aghanim then you know how this plays out. He fires a sphere at you that you can deflect back at him with either your sword or an Empty Bottle. When it returns to him he will hit it back so be quick and hit the shot back at him. Just keep doing this until he gets shocked by his own blast then give him a taste of your blade. As the battle progresses you will have to deflect the shot more times. He may also charge the staff and dash at you which you can simply roll out of the way of. Just keep repeating this until the wicked ghost is kaput. 12. Flare Dancer: This enemy sports an interesting design. He resembles a very small black creature with stubby legs and a small head that creates a humanoid flame like body with it's true form serving as it's "chest". Despite it's unique design this boss is a joke. He attacks by spinning leaving little fires that sit on the ground. He then skates about a bit around the room then repeats. To defeat him simply lock onto his physical form with the Hookshot to pull it out and extinguish the flame. The now exposed Flare Dancer will run around the room like a coward. Move opposite of where he is running stab. Turn around stab him again. He will eventually regain his fire aura but you can just pull him out again and repeat. His fire will go from red to blue and finally to green before exploding. Roll out of the way after defeating him to avoid his last ditch attack. 13. Flare Dancer: There isn't even much alteration to the arena with this one at all. It's the exact same deal. Defeat him again and you get the Big Key. 14. Volvagia/Volga: This is a giant lava beast that intends to eat all the Goron people as well as burn the land. It's quite nasty but it is a fun boss. Volvagia basically will fly into a hole. Now watch the holes carefully. When fire erupts from one of them run to that hole and hit Volvagia with the Megaton Hammer. He falls over stunned. Now attack with your sword. Volvagia retreats then pops out and starts flying around. Run away from the giant lava dragon rolling to avoid his nasty breath. Eventually he retreats back into a hole and the process repeats. After hitting him again he now uses another attack. He flies out and drills into the ceiling causing rocks to fall. Watch where they fall and dodge them if necessary. Once he heads back into the lava he may now start trying to trick you. He will light one hole on fire but then extinguish it shortly after before lighting and popping out of another one. This point is a good time to try and stand near one of the edges so you have a good lay of the arena. While he is in his holes Volvagia may breathe fire at you. If you are far away it's best to play it safe and avoid the attack then run in and risk getting hit. When he is close to being defeated he will try to fake you out twice when in the holes. It's just a matter of good observation and hitting him with the hammer as he pops out of the holes. Also his death seems to serve as an inspiration to Fracktail. 15. White Wolfos: Why is this even considered a boss? The Deku Scrubs were harder then this. Basically this wolf beast is easily defeated. Just wait until he charges, back flip away from his claws then hit his tail once and he's dead. Really that's it. That's the boss of the Ice Cavern. Kind of an anti-climax but at least the dungeon itself was interesting. 16. Dark Link: This can either be a really hard boss or a really easy one if you know the trick to defeating him. Dark Link is basically Link's reflection. He has all of Link's abilities at least when it comes to sword play. The downside to Dark Link is he cannot mimic secondary weapons/items. There are many methods to take this guy down. One method is just to bring a bunch of Fairies, not target him at all and go to town on him with your Master Sword. If you don't feel like taking too much abuse you can simply pull out the Megaton Hammer and simply smash him each and every time he warps and moves towards you. Din's Fire is also effective if you have enough magic to do so though you may want to stock up on Green Potion otherwise. Once he is dead the illusion is lifted and you get an upgrade to your Hookshot. It's now the Longshot. 17. Morpha: This thing is a weird blob that seems to have the power to control water. It uses this ability to create tentacles. The arena consists of 4 pillars in a pool of water with spikes surrounding it. Stay on the ground on the sides of the arena and not the pillars as you do not have enough room to dodge Morpha's attacks. Aside from contact damage Morpha really has only one attack. He will conjure up a water tentacle which he will then extend toward you. If it hits you it flails Link around while strangling him, then tossing him real hard across the room. Needless to say it freaking hurts. Instead keep moving away from the tentacles so Morpha can't hit you with them. When Morpha misses he must take time to respawn a new tentacle. Use the Longshot to pull Morpha out of the tentacle then stab him with your sword. If Morpha falls into the water you can try to pull him back out again and get in another hit or two. As the battle progresses Morpha will create decoy tentacles that do not have the boss in them. They are more or less there to defend the main one so try and keep moving to distract them so you can get a clear shot at the boss. That's really all there is to it. Dodge, pull, stab. Eventually you will reduce this blob to but a mere puddle. 18. Dead Hand: WTF is this thing? No really this thing looks disgusting. Like a sack of decaying skin with a head and stubby arms. This guy is the boss of the Bottom of The Well. Basically when you enter his room there are several stalk like white hands sticking out the ground. To get the boss to appear you must let the hands grab you and basically be "bait". When the boss appears start mashing all your buttons to break free before the disgusting long lower jawed...thing gets too close to you. Once free get close to Dead Hand and wait until he lowers his head then go to town on it with your sword. Dead Hand winces in pain covering his face with his back facing you. Keep away from him so you don't get hit by the debris he kicks up as he burrows back underground. Now let the hands grab you again and break free then hit Dead Hand in the face again. Repeat until he falls dead. Eww his jaw breaks as he dies. Gross. 19. Dead Hand: Just when you thought you were done this freak comes back for round 2 in the Shadow Temple. However with your Lens of Truth you can now exploit a neat trick. Put on the lens and look for a patch of black earth. Place a Bomb there and out pops Dead Hand. No longer do you have to let the hands grab you with this useful tactic though you can still use the hands as well if you want to save Bombs and Magic. Once exposed just attack his head. Repeat until he is dead for good. 20. Bongo Bongo: This boss seems to be the inspiration for many Nintendo bosses. He is the good old classic giant head and floating hands boss. This should not be a hard boss. First off take off the Hover Boots if you are wearing them for more mobility. Bongo Bongo has multiple attacks all involving his hands. He can punch you, grab you and throw you, or crush you. Simply target each hand with your Bow and shoot an arrow at it. This causes the hand to numb and turn blue. Do the same with the other hand. Once both hands are down the head will rush you. Don the Lens of Truth so you can see Bongo's head and fire an arrow in his eye then cut it to ribbons with your sword. That's really all there is to this boss. Dodge the hands, shoot them, then shoot the eye and attack it. He could be damaging if you let him but his hands are such large targets that they hardly ever get an attack off if you are quick. After this he melts away in a pile of shadowy ooze that evaporates but not before playing his drum one last time. 21. Gerudo Thief/Third in Command of Gerudo/Aveil: This boss guards the Carpenter cells in Gerudo Fortress. She is a red clad Gerudo armed with two razor swords. She is actually pretty tough at first but there is a trick to getting past her guard. She basically raises the two swords in defense to your attacks from the front but side attacks are not something she is good at blocking. As such try and side step dodge so her attack misses. This gives you a brief window of opportunity to hit her. If she backs away and does her spin attack dodge it then hit her immediately after wards. Patience is the key here. Don't let that spin hit you either or you are going to regret it. Each time you defeat her she drops a key and flees allowing you access to the Carpenter cell she was guarding. Once you defeat her all 4 times and rescue all 4 Carpenters she congratulates you and makes you a member of the Gerudo and you can now wonder the fortress without worrying about the Gerudo Guards. How Aveil is able to stand and not drop dead from blood loss after being stabbed so many times in 4 battles to boot I'll never know but hey we got a cool membership card. 22. Iron Knuckle: This guy is probably the most powerful enemy in the game in terms of attack power. This guy is slow and predictable but dang do his attacks hurt. You do not want to get hit with that axe as it takes off 4 hearts each time it hits. When you enter his lair in the Spirit Temple he is sitting on his throne. Attack him once and he comes to life and the battle begins. My best strategy for this guy is a hit and dodge tactic. Rush in, hit him once with your sword, back flip away to avoid one of his attacks, then repeat. You never want to get too greedy with your strikes. Just hit him once and dodge. In terms of attacks the Iron Knuckle has 2. He can either swing his axe twice in a row or slam it down like a hammer. If he does the second attack you may be able to get a second hit off him as he tries to pull the axe out of the ground but don't get greedy. After hitting him the second time back away so you don't get hit after he pulls it out. After enough hits some of his platting falls off and he moves faster. At this point stab, back flip, stab, back flip backing away all the while as he moves after you and keeping your distance from his attacks until he falls. 23. Iron Knuckle: Now it's Adult Link's turn to fight one of these guys. The same tactics still apply. Dodge effectively and attack when the time is right and don't get too carried away on the offensive. That's about it. 24. Nabooru: All this is really is another Iron Knuckle battle except there is no additional phase were armor falls off. Simply fight Nabooru like any other Iron Knuckle until you free her from being controlled. Even though this is fought behind the boss door it is not the actual boss. 25. Twinrova: Now this is the real boss. If you do not have the Mirror Shield equipped do so now. At first you face Koume the witch of fire and Kotake the ice witch. They attack by firing beams of their elements at you from their brooms. If Koume fires a fire blast deflect it with the Mirror Shield and aim it at Kotake. If Kotake fires an ice blast reflect it back at Koume. If either beam hits the ground it creates a radius hazard either lava or ice depending on the element fired. Once enough shots hit the two hags they fuse forming Twinrova. Now the battle changes slightly. Twinrova carries two wands one for ice the other for fire. She will fly around and either shoot an ice blast or a fire ball from one of her wands. Simply deflect these projectiles with your Mirror Shield. Instead of being reflected the projectile is stored in the Mirror Shield and the Shield either flashes red or white for fire or ice. Once you store three of the same element it will release that element out. Aim it at Twinrova to stun her. She then falls on one of the arena's pillars surrounding the central platform. Jump out to her and give her a taste of your blade. As the battle progresses she may mix up her fire and ice attacks rather then using the same one. If this happens and you already have one element stored and she fires an opposite one to the one you have stored just roll out of the way of the attack and keep doing this until she fires the same one as deflecting a different attack resets the shield's energy storage. Just keep doing this until Twinrova returns to just being the two witches. Halos pop up on their heads and they argue as the ascend to the afterlife in a rather funny fashion. 26. Ganondorf: During this fight you are restricted to only relying on using your weapons manually as you cannot target this guy due to the dark aura surrounding him. As soon as the battle starts move to one of the blocks in the corners as Ganon will emit shock waves that can destroy platforms by punching the ground. Once you are in a corner the fight plays out similar to Phantom Ganon. Ganon will charge up an energy orb. Pull out your sword or an Empty Bottle and deflect the shot back at him. He knocks it back at you. Keep the volley going until he misses. He then slumps over in the air. Charge a Light Arrow and shoot Ganon with it and he falls to he floor. Hookshot or simply jump over to Ganon and hit him with your sword. When he recovers get off the center platform and flee back to one of the room's four corners. Repeat this process several times. After a while of this Ganon will add a new attack. He will hold up a giant sphere that will then split out into several light spheres. Either roll away from these and avoid them or if you are feeling bold try and deflect them back with a well timed spin attack. You can also cancel this attack out by simply hitting Ganon with a Light Arrow as he charges it up. After the battle Ganon drops to the floor dead and you escape the castle before it blows. All seems well...perhaps too well. Wait what's that? Oh crap. 27. Ganon: No fancy subtitles here. It's just Ganon. Ganon in a last ditch effort to stop you turns into a giant boar like demon armed with 2 massive trident like swords. Ganon flails his swords about knocking the Master Sword from Link's hand and trapping him in the ruins of his castle with a fire wall. This poses a problem. You don't have your sword but we have the next best thing. A freaking hammer. Equip the Megaton Hammer to one of your C Buttons. The weak point of Ganon is his tail. The easiest way to get behind Ganon is either side step jump around him avoiding his swords or simply roll under his legs. Once you got a clear shot at the tail hit it with your hammer. Ganon has two attacks. He can either hit you with one of his swords or he can pull out both and hit you with them at once. After a while of hammering the tail Ganon falls over. Run over and get the Master Sword from Zelda then run back in. Now the second phase begins. Because you have your sword back Ganon is now a lot more faster and unpredictable. Still the tactic of rolling under him works. If you have magic you can also shoot Light Arrows at Ganon to stun him giving you a clear shot at the tail. After even more wailing on the tail this time with the Master Sword Ganon falls over again and Zelda restrains him. Rush up to Ganon and hit B to deliver the final blow and banish the evil king to the void thus ending the game. Congratulations hero you have done it.

Quit spin slashing and just hit the damn energy back at ganondorf sheesh you got hit 6 times
@Fjarilsmannen10 жыл бұрын
It's kind of a thing, I mean normally you are supposed to just hit it and alls is well. But i like to play differently, hence why i use the Spin to "Spin up" things a bit;P Sorry if it bothers you, but that's how i play:)!
@yuik486110 жыл бұрын
Spin slashing works well in that part normally if you're good at it, as it'll be easier to time the swings. Refusing to use one of the most epic swords of all video game lore of all time throughout the Ganon fight though... that's just weird.

The one I have the most problems with is that abominable Morpha! Big Octo is easy, but it's definitely annoying to get him going the way you want him to
@Fjarilsmannen11 жыл бұрын
I knew it wasn´t for his tail XD The thing is, i often play out of the ordinary, i don´t like playing "perfect" and always follow the rules of the bosses. It comes from my childhood when i often redid the bosses, and played around to pass the time;P
@UFellOffTheSofa10 жыл бұрын
You shoulda totally used deku sticks on the first 3 bosses, they do twice the damage the kokiri sword does though they obviously break after each hit :3

A really easy way to kill Gohma, the first boss, is to use a deku stick and beat her down with it. It only takes one time for her to die when you do it.

Wrong friend;) Correct that i added some that weren´t bosses, i just did that as it felt better then to skip them. And why i used hover boots, was because i remember that i like those boots when i played on my original N64, and i think i used them on Ganondorf/Ganon, so i wanted to copy that for the sake of it;P But correct that i was extremely bad on the Twins, i had some real problems there, not sure why it went so bad. And for the Master/Giant sword change, it was just for the heck of it:)
