This is the original theme song of this AWSOME and old video game made in 1988, "The Legend of Zelda". But it's hard to find this original soundtrack (I need to record them so it's not so easy). Composer : Kōji Kondō

The whole concept behind 8 bit music is so cool. Composers for games like Zelda were geniuses, the arpeggiation to simulate chords because they could only play monophonically, the white noise played at different pitches to simulate a drum kit etc. I have so much respect for them, they don't get the credit they deserve.

There's been over 30 years of glorious Zelda music and yet there's still something in this simple 8-bit tune that still sends crackles of excitment down the back of my neck. It always happens during the opening bars and then when that marching beat kicks in. Its timeless. The Zelda theme will always be the call to adventure.

Oh... sooooo many memories. My favorite Legend of Zelda was Link to the Past for the SNES. LOVED that one. I borrowed my cousin's console just so I could play it. Sadly, when my parents tried to get me my own SNES the system was defective and they couldn't get a refund for a new system. The store accused them of breaking it. I was heartbroken. But my cousin was super awesome and let me borrow it for as long as I wanted. I played THE HELL out of Link to the Past. Amazing theme for an amazing franchise. Long live the Legend!

When the young me slid this cartridge into the NES and hit power, that theme song immediately smashed everything before it. It's eerie, it sends the chills, and still mysteriously upbeat. This game changed everything and the formula of The Legend of Zelda is still the backbone of modern titles. There has never been a more influential game and this earns it the undisputed best game of all time award in my mind.

I have played every LOZ game. There were none that I disliked (except The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon). My advice is don't go into them thinking about other games in the franchise, or that BS timeline. Just play each game on it's own merit. I found the inclusion of motion controls in Skyward Sword a good try (I have to wait for my wrists to forgive me before I call it a good part of game-play) . I also felt that the more linear Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess made up fr it with a better story. Many people dislike Windwakers surfing, but I feel it made the world feel expansive and was a good innovation to the usual Epona, the same for the loftwings in Skyward Sword. The wolf mechanics and skill learning in Twilight Princess I felt were good ideas and Minda is my favorite character from the series, but I felt Link could have used some more characterization. Overall I feel that we should not compare LOZ games to each other as they are not meant to be connected (as evidenced by the egregious excuse for a timeline). Instead we should compare each one to different game series. But overall be thankful that they haven't done a 'Legend of Zelda: Other M',
