Bro! Thank you a billion times to literally show me how to legaly obtain the Deku Tree sample in our day and age! (price tag aside, still good to know!) Honestly, thank you so much!

Iceland 1 is also used in the 5th Element soundtrack

I didn't know that!! Thank you for the info

Awesome video! Two questions: 1. How is Omnisphere looping the Iceland 1 sample? I have a .wav version of the sample and when I loop it there’s a pop from the sample not having a nice place to do a 0 crossing. Does Omnisphere use some kind of crossfade? I haven’t been able to create a clean loop using my .wav sample yet, even with a simple fade at the end of the loop. 2. Is there a time stretching algorithm used when playing lower or higher pitches of samples in Omnisphere?
@VultureCulture2 ай бұрын
1. Iceland is built into Omnisphere so they've preprogrammed the loop. 2. I don't believe Omnisphere is doing any time-stretching behind the scenes, but it might do it on other patches.

Hoooow does this video only have 697 views?? I'm a new producer who's been searching for plug ins that fit that Zelda/folky sound! Thank you so much!

For those who want to know all the sounds found in videogame music, look for VGMSoundsources in google, all credits goes for them.

Yes, Solia is in the original distorted reality CDs. Omnisphere doesn't have all of distorted reality in it

What a shame. Luckily the patch in the video is pretty much there. Any other cool sounds in DR not in Omnisphere?
@thecaptain0003 Жыл бұрын
@@VultureCulture A handful, yeah. There are also some drum loops that you can hear via Stylus RMX

Looooove this. But I especially LOVE the concept of these videos. Ever since I got a Wavestate I've been looking for any info I can about how the DKC soundtrack was made.... but I really haven't found much. It's funny because somehow, when I started playing with it, DKC was almost instantly recognizable, but at the same time I really haven't found much info on exactly HOW the Wavestation was translated into the soundtrack. I'm sure that's how I found your channel, also. Just looking for Wavestation demos. 😄

Jammin' Sam Miller definitely knows the most about how the soundtrack was made. His restorations are insane. The SNES sound chip is fascinating because it was effectively an 8 voice sampler. The samples had to be insanely short and compressed because of memory storage but there wasn't much of a limit of how many samples you could use. So David Wise chopped up very short samples from the Wavestation and sequenced them in almost the same way the Wavestation works.

@@VultureCulture Awesome thanks so much! That's funny cause I first checked out those restorations ages ago, but that was BEFORE I was into synths! LMAO

I had no idea that Legend of Zelda used Spectrasonics :O Also, you've got a narrator voice! What mic are you using to dub this video?
@VultureCulture3 жыл бұрын
There's even more sounds I didn't get to. It's an Earthworks SR40V. Really expensive. I have another video on how to EQ/compress your mic which is where 90% of the sound comes from (I show an SM58 with the same settings I'm using now)

Hmmmm. This video lacks Ethnic Flavour.
@VultureCulture4 ай бұрын
That's because it's a Zero-G sample and therefore not in Omnisphere.
@joseluis.colungag4 ай бұрын
I know. Not trying to be annoying. It's just that on both OoT and MM Koji really leaned into that library. I could picture Kondo thinking when composing music: "Hmmm. A little sprinkle of ethnic flavour over here would sound good."
@VultureCulture4 ай бұрын
@joseluis.colungag was it used on MM? I only recall the use in the forest temple, but my knowledge is limited.
