my man linkus out here putting the couch out of a job LMAO incredible run and commentary, you killed it!
@WolfWalrus Жыл бұрын
I know it's a small thing but I love how considerate the audience is for this run. When Linkus is obviously concentrating, when he's holding his breath, the crowd is utterly silent, and when he pulls the trick off, they roar with enthusiasm.

Wonderful run! Linkus the legend, calmy and consistently executing and explaining everything, supremely impressive!

"Float Value Perfect" Ummm excuse me? The software engineer who donated during this run had it exactly right. I winced so hard when you said that Linkus 🤣🤣😭 Excellent run, I've never seen a speedrunner who could so thoroughly explain their tricks while performing them.

Weird coincidence how the pause buffer timing is so similar to the timing of wobbling
@theheckler3992 жыл бұрын
he knows too much…
@alanhersch46172 жыл бұрын
It kind of isnt actually. Most games run on the same frame rates, 24,30 or 60 fps. and depending on the number of frames you have to skip for the timings, MANY will line up and have the same timings. 24, 30 and 60 have A LOT of common factors.
@SSBMNicki2 жыл бұрын
as an experienced wobbler I could instantly tell that the pause buffering is just a little bit too slow

Linkus is a good lad. Taking over for gymnast, even though it's not the shortest run. Also, 1:36:00 He's not called "The swedish Sniper" for nothing, it seems :-D Also Also, The Announcer is doing a great job, too.
@NFITC12 жыл бұрын
2:29:43 - I mean, frame-perfect is one thing. The FLOATING-POINT precise trick you pulled off earlier was NUTS tho! Imagine if that was double-precision precise on not only your coords and angles, but the camera's coords and angles followed by a double-frame-perfect set of inputs. That would be 12 double-precision variables that have to line up exactly to get a trick to work in a two-frame window! That's pretty gross. I'm sure there's probably a BotW trick that would be that precise.

So I know that Japanese is typically faster in most Zelda games, but doesn't he normally play on the Italian version when he does his 100% runs? Which is where Pausa comes from? Just wondering why Italian for 100% but Japanese for All Dungeons. Amazing run as always, Linkus is entertaining and informative.
@yukii17302 жыл бұрын
It's because he typically runs Wind Waker HD, in which Italian is the fastest language, but this run is of the Original Wind Waker, where Japanese is the fastest.

how did his breath bubble refill during the super swim around 9:00?
@VeeOasis2 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure it's the same as when he refilled at 33:18 the model went out of the water for about 3-5 frames which refills the oxygen
@azer67 Жыл бұрын
At 9:00, Linkus hits the wall which has a weird floor below the water that is at the perfect height for you to get an air refill while still staying swimming. It's a very easy air refill spot. At 33:18 Linkus stored the cutscene of going to Forest Haven for the first time (that's the reason for the double storage before the swim). The cutscene teleports Link to a specific spot which gives air back (and it also kills his speed)

It seems he replaced gymnast86, since he contracted Covid. Since Linkus is a speedrunner in that category as well, he replaced him so it wouldn't have to be removed from the schedule. That's my guess, at least.
