I begged my mom to buy a Nintendo Power magazine, just because it came with this trailer on a special DVD. Back then I had no KZbin or DVR, so having this trailer in a home format blew my mind. Took forever to boot it up and watch it.

as much as I would love for that to happen there are two reasons that would probably be impossible. 1. She shattered the mirror of Twilight which indicates she had no way of coming back 2. notice how I said "had" because judging by the whole talk about ancestors and stuff in Twilight Princess we can only assume that Twili age and considering how far in the Timeline BoTW2 is I would assume Midna would be dead by this point

I remember this being part of a building sense of disappointment as I realized a lot of the vibe and ideas for the game that were originally shown had been abandoned for a OOT-wannabe clown show to pander to the internet at the time. Which sucks because you can see the overhead pressure shine through in the way the trailers are presented. Every trailer felt less and less like Zelda.

I want another dark, gritty zelda game, like a Twilight Princess 2 or something. I thought this game was perfect in every way shape and form. From the music to the characters to the dungeons to the story. It was just breathtaking at the time and still is. My favorite Zelda game with Majora's Mask being second and Wind Waker being third.

The only real issue is that after you obtain the 3rd Fused Shadow, the land is pretty much saved from the twilight and everyone in Hyrule moves on with their lives. Yes you have to do more to stop Zant and Ganon (who comes out of nowhere really), but literally noon else knows or cares. They should have tweaked the story a bit to make everyone know of the impending threat.

I really liked Twilight Princess. Here why I think it's not better than OoT or any prequel/sequel besides Skyward Sword(they really butchered lore). The only redeeming qualities of Twilight Princess are the soundtrack, Midna, Darknut and King Bulbin. Twilight Princess pales in comparison to other titles. Wind Waker had a better soundtrack and art style that still holds up to this day. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask had a better story (hell, Wind Waker did, too). Majora's Mask achieved the brooding atmosphere that Twilight Princess tried so hard to replicate. Twilight Princess uses the same combat system that Wind Waker started with. Zelda 1 and A Link to the Past has better gameplay. But don't get me wrong Twilight Princess was great, the others just happen to be legendary..

It's so interesting to watch this now knowing the final product. I too followed this game intensely up to release and purchased it for GC. It's interesting to see what changed after this trailer. Midna's hair looks very different, Epona looks different, and they were using Link OOT sound effects for this. So cool to see that progress. I love TP 🥺

I came here to listen to the music again, they often do these great orchestra music for the trailers that is not actually in the game. BotW trailer music is so much better. I actually dislike TP. While I am not a fan of the dark gritty games, I didn't like MM for the darkness either, what I dislike about TP is the fundamental issues with the game. Mandatory wolf crap, bug hunts, the world being a massive boring bland traversal.

I remember being 4-5 when Ocarina of time came out, falling in love with the game along with the rest of the world. I remember when the GameCube came out years later and the internet was just really taking off. Watching the trailer and teaser for this game online was unreal… the graphics were just so beyond anything I’d ever seen. It was such a transitional time for games, and for me because I was almost a teenager when this finally came out. It was like me and the franchise were growing up together… and I got this game along with kingdom hearts 2 for Christmas, another game I’d been waiting for almost 5 years to come out. It was like revisiting my young childhood as it was about to end, seeing how Zelda and Kh had grown and changed too… I don’t think I’ll ever experience those feelings again.

Wow - I haven't seen this game for years and years and when I look at it now it's like a little piece of my soul lights up, this game was truly a work of art. People say this format was super repetitive and bland, but there's a lot in this trailer than when it originally came out you'd be like holy crap. While showing new things to excite you they were nowhere near spoiling the game. Meanwhile nintendo had to hide a lot from us while marketing TotK, which I think more than anything is because if they showed you an explorable underground where you light it up they would have depleted the main separating factor from BotW within their trailer. I definitely think the traditional 3D formula was not nearly as bland as people think.

The atmosphere of the game IS dark. It's not sad, but somber. That's what I liked from it. Played it on my GC from start to finish. Spent around 70 hours or so. No regrets. Wishing to play it again.

Twilight Princess was my first Legend of Zelda game EVER. And I've adored the franchise ever since. Although I've only played a few games such as; Twilight Princess, Wind Waker HD, Ocarina of Time, Breath of the Wild, And I still haven't finished Majora's Mask 3D.

@@m3tr0id86 You can get it either on GameCube or Wii U until they finally port this game to the switch. Will be another year MINIMUM because it will be a switch 2 exclusive from the looks of it.

I adore how, despite being a year and a half away from release, and clearly in an early beta/alpha stage of devlopment, you can still tell where nearly every shot is taken. Nothing here was cut from the final game. Its like looking at an alternate universe
