Wild... I was thinking the same thing on the "Loneliest Day of My Life" cover vid by her. (I only just discovered this instrument in a Davie504 vid a few days ago) Based on her Metallica video, I'm left to conclude that yes it is. One side has a tonal cavity like a many acoustic stringed instruments (ie guitars, violins), like in this video. Whereas the other side I think lacks it, thereby producing slightly higher pitch? (basing this on the difference between how a phones speaker sounds just by say, putting it in a cup vs a flat surface 😅)
