Avocado Warrior lol, Pun Pun is a pretty good manga. I think it’s a little too overhyped, but the dark humor is really good.
@avocadowarrior68726 жыл бұрын
VoidX Yeah, I can picture some overhype by hipsters, but anyway, it makes you laugh while it puts your heart in a shredder.
@aus-li6 жыл бұрын
Avocado Warrior Yea, dude, I think it’s the casuals who think it’s “the best seinen”. That’s why I like this author, he’s really good at writing and his words don’t feel “fake” or “forced”...just real. I laugh at anything dark humor, tho, lol Also, you should check out Hikari no Machi, I think it’s a great short comic. It’s the same author of Pun Pun, and his style is very similar to Daniel Clowes’ writing (feeling authentic).

@jasonblalock44296 жыл бұрын
You know, I get that you were happy to get a name actor to narrate your piece... but maybe it should have been a name actor who can enunciate? I mean, seriously, Harrelson sounds drunk.
@vinylhedgehog55746 жыл бұрын
The reason they got him to narrate was because he's playing one of Clowes' characters, Wilson in a movie adaptation of his work. Not because they were happy to get a name actor to narrate for them. Same for Thora Birch.
@jasonblalock44296 жыл бұрын
Yes, obviously he played a role in one of the movies mentioned. That was clearly established. But it doesn't mean they were obligated to use him as narrator.
@vinylhedgehog55746 жыл бұрын
Jason Blalock I think their intent was to use the leading actors that were playing the protagonists in his novels. But no, they were not obligated to use him. Personally i think his enunciation is fine, I've heard far worse.

I like the storytelling of American comics, but Japanese comics are so much better drawn and illustrated. American comics aren't even close when it comes to depicting an action scene.

Well, most acclaimed comics doesn't have an action scene like Wilson, sandman and maus.
