here's a good fix for animals floating across the water (maybe you already know this), if you fast travel to a tent/outpost on that side of the water that you shot the animal, then fast travel back, the animal will be on land where you shot it

I just got a level 2 diamond last night it had a range of 24? To 28? And ended up scoring 279! And all last week i spawned no lv. 3s but several high lv.2 all had upper rating around 270 but none made diamond.
