Except for the fact he hit .247 with 1 home run in the postseason over almost 100 ABs. You obviously prefer players with long careers of very good baseball where postseason numbers mean nothing. I'm one of those weird guys who would rather have four or five of the greatest individual seasons ever, who was also probably the biggest key contributor in world series history than a guy with 10 MVP caliber years and was non-existent in big games. Mickey Mantle has more rings than a married pimp and his three best years might be better than anyone else in history.

One of my favorite baseball players, saw him in the 50's at Dodger stadium. R.I.P. willy. He died today , my birthday. I looked him up for some reason and read it. One of the all time greatest.
