Step 3. Instead of selling off the leylight shards/arkhana check prices of the ring/neck/back enchants that use them and see if that is profitable. Also a HUGE seller for me are the glove enchants for faster gathering. I generally get 600-900g per enchant that costs just 1 shard depending on competition/availability. Great guide!

This can be lucrative on some servers. However it may not be lucrative or as lucrative on a full or high pop server. I do alot of gold farming but I also follow some of the gold farming youtubers to see or find new methods or more effricient methods of making gold, everyone does it differently depending on the server they play on. On my server leather is 6-8 gold, silk is 6-8 gold, ore is 15-25 gold depending on the hour of the day. Leylight shards are 69 gold. So lets use LW as an example cuz they are usually a bit cheaper. 9 leather for a warhide binding. at 8 gold per leather you take a loss. Sometimes I can get some leathers at 6 gold, which would account for a 10 gold profit. Its not worth it at all. Plus the fact that there is fierce undercutting for shards which will bring your profits down even further.

Yah, make the 9 material leveling blues or uncommon gem rings, and D/E em. To answer your other question, the most profitable depends on how much mats are going for if you're buying them, or how quickly you can farm the various items. If you only have a blacksmith like you said, then mine up a bunch of ore and make the rank 3 armguards. going forward though, this is a market correction technique. Craft your profitable stuff first. But if someone posted super cheap ore/leather/silk, you now have a quick and easy conversion.

Well, the basics You can sell one stack of cloth, if it costs 5g each, for 1,000g. But you can also turn 200 cloth into 22 Silkweave Bracers with the rank 3 pattern. When you disenchant those, you'll get 22 leylight shards, and maybe a chaos crystal or blood of sargeras. 22 x 100g for each shard = 2,200 g. 2200 > 1000

No dummy. Look at it this way. There is a 100% chance this will yield enchanting materials (99% shard, 1% crystal). It also has a 3% chance to drop bloods of sargeras. Kind of like how you kill a boss and it has a 100% chance of dropping an item but 3% chance of dropping a specific item. It's not 103% because they are two different things. 100% for enchanting materials 3% for bonus non enchanting materials Another good example of how this works is your order hall missions... those go up to "200%" but in reality its 0-100% to get the primary item and 0-100% to get the bonus item...

What if you are spending 1 hour to get 30k gold in mats then 1 hour to turn that 30k into 50k shuffling 2 hours = 50k you could have farmed 2 hours and got 60k You gotta be very careful when it comes to "shuffling" as you might find out that the effort of shuffling isn't as much gold per minute as actual farming. shuffling should really only happen if you are certain the profit margin is super high or you are stuck with thousands of the stuff and need to spread it out into other markets.

Good question. I did a blog on that a while back: bit.ly/2r7Em35. To optimize goldmaking, it's best to organize your options by potential gold per hour. But a lot of the time, if the best options involve doing things you don't like doing, then they aren't the best for you. (Mathing it out, your gold is equal to the gold per hour times the time invested, and you increase your gold by doing more lucrative activities or just spending more time out there. Or both.) The shuffle is an option gold makers should be aware of if their AH is ever out of whack, but you're right that it's not something everyone should do all the time. :)

That economy seem remarkably good and balanced. Leather yields a 20% profit, Silk yields a 20% profit, and ore yields a 20% profit. There's enough people there to balance out prices without being SO many that you can't earn any money. :)

I think you're missing the point. This is an arbitrage technique you should always have in your back pocket. It's market correction. Prices for shards, ore, cloth, leather, etc are always going to fluctuate, and now if any of them get to an extreme, you can capitalize on it.
