Glad you guys got to visit my home state! Was going to see her with a couple of club members this summer but sadly, life had different plans.

That stinks that you did not get to see her. The Bluegrass Railroad and the Museum there was fun to see. We enjoyed the visit. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Gorgeous Engine! I love the 4-4-0 American Locomotive. My Ma & Pa had five of them total and two were in service in 1947 which is the year I model. Thanks for sharing this. -Rick

What a beautiful engine! I put the UP and CP hybrid engines on reservation that Lionel did for 150 golden spike!

WOW! The ones Lionel is making look fantastic. I cant wait to hear about how nice they are when you get them. I think I saw somewhere that Lionel made or is going to make the Leviathan. Thanks for watching.

Oo I love that whistle! The same Leviathan right there came up to a tourist railroad by me for a week but since the guys operating the locomotive didn't put enough water in the boiler it broke down so at least it worked well for you Gfw 😆! Thanks for posting and thats probably one of my favorite classic American locomotives!

The York I believe was made in the same shop. Isn't that engine out there in PA somewhere? I am glad they put enough water in the boiler for when I saw it. Thanks for watching.

I don’t know why, but the simple design of the American 4-4-0s make me love them so much. And correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t they one of the first steam locomotives on America?-
@GfwTrains4 жыл бұрын
Yes, Americans were one of the first mass produced locomotives in the US of a similar design. Like you, I also think their simplicity lends to their beauty.

Wasn’t that engine from the IRM?
@GfwTrains4 жыл бұрын
The Leviathan was built here in Illinois about an hour from IRM in Elgin. I think it spent some time running at the IRM, but to my knowledge, they keep it in Elgin. It is a neat engine, isn't it? Thanks for watching.
