so the thought occurred to me, Finn wished The Lich to never exist, yet his essence still remained in the mushroom, as well as being the comet that fell during the dinosaur age in the farm world reality. This would mean that he did not get the title of The Lich until after the mushroom bomb went off and went nameless or by other titles for centuries.

well, its was more likely that, he is simply too powerfull as a primodial and catalyst comet combined even for prismo, HE is the death of all things and the true evil, he cannot be deafeted nor removed, by anything other than the high deity golb, but yeah

Regardless of what you think of the Lich after Fiona and Cake, let’s not forget that despite Golb smoked him, New Death Lich busted almost 50 universes (dead worlds) and since there’s only one death in the multiverse, that would make the Lich a multi universal threat. Golb smoking him was inevitable, but my man still is a powerhouse.

@@TrueLocalEnthusiast keep in mind he nullified Prismos powers, a legit multiversal God like entity. Wishing the Lich out of existence doesn’t even work and not even Golb could erase him. Yet some people still downplay him and say Chara from undertale could beat him. On a side note, the next duel should be the Lich vs Scp 682 (OG document and cross tests (no tales)) and Chara. Three embodiments of the end of all life filing it out.

Lich is a Dog cashing a car, they wouldn’t know what to do if they caught it. The other Liches fanatically chase a goal that will never end but for at least one he has to sit and wait knowing that he killed all life and just has to wait till Golb shows up.

I had a new theory on the cause of the mushroom war. Notice how whenever Simon checks in with his diary, there's more snow on the ground? I don't think that's just around Simon. In Farmworld,the crown had enough juice to freeze the whole earth. If Simon is accidentally causing massive snowfall all over the world, there'd obviously be resource crises over gas, food, all sorts of things. That's what jump starts the mushroom war. It really all comes back to Simon

I think the reason why the green catalyst comet and the mushroom bomb are so far apart yet both have the Lich is something that’s already been explained to us. In the farm world timeline, we are told that when ice king dies, the crown mourns for its master and freezes the world. What if that’s also what happened when Gunther the dinosaur died? The lich was free but then was sealed by a wave of frost that covered the earth.

That's actually called the ice age because according to my just discovered knowledge, The starring heroes of ice age lived 63 million years ago AKA 3 million years after dinosaurs extinction. (The last of the non-avian dinosaurs died out over 63 million years before the Pleistocene, the time during which the regular stars of the Ice Age films (mammoths, giant sloths, and sabercats) lived.) 3:00 I would guess what remained of the Lich's essence just stayed in stasis or hibernation until some event triggered his awaking (it probably started with The Great Mushroom War, but it must have taken some time before he had regained power, because Billy and PB took care of him comparatively easily). I would assume that the rise of primordial mammalian and plant life over the millenia after the comet hit Earth did something to keep his powers in check while he was weak, which could be why he was kept close by in the tree we later find out was the main life-giving source for the Candy Kingdom.

After some thought, it's likely the mushroom war was the Adventure Time equivalent of World War 2. Now I don't think it _was_ WW2, considering AT seems to follow an alternate timeline to ours, but considering the weapon used and the level of technology humanity had when it happened, it was probably their version of that war. The thing that stands out to me was the bomb used, the mushroom bomb. It was probably their version of the Fat Man nuclear bomb dropped on Japan. I mean, what other bomb would you associate with mushrooms in our world? Instead of using uranium 235 like the real world version though, they used the cosmic power of the lich to power the bomb, thus releasing it back into the world. It's like Oppenheim said, "I am become death, destroyer of worlds", just a bit more literal than he had in mind.

I greatly disagree with your theory about the origin of the lich, I find it more suitable that he is nothing but a powerful being (not a primordial), who is somewhat immortal. He has studied the ways of the greatest "thing" there is and decided to follow its ways (the way he saw fit as I don't think GOLB had anything to do with him). I like to think that the scholars of GOLB are some form of a cult that worship GOLB, and the same thing applies to the lich. By following the ways of the greatest thing you will approach greatness. So to sum it up lich is nothing more than a powerful, immortal, ambitious being who is made from pure evil.
