Cause that would take effort and actually reading a textbook or several. He would have to...😱(gasps) study. Sometimes from 4 pm to 2 am, and memorize the periodic table. And he was con man/street smart but not book smart. I doubt he ever even cracked open a YA book in high school. And if he doesn't read anything, even fiction, then why would he bother with a textbook? (P.s. He seems like the type of guy where if he had to do a book report for school he would pick a book that was also a movie and do his report on that, by watching the movie)
