you bring out the thought that it is okay to have different feelings (sadness and anxiety, frustration and guilt). You do a great job of stopping long enough to identify what you are feeling and maybe even why you are feeling that way. Feeling our feelings is an important step in learning how complex and how simple we are at the same time.

I just love to hear you think! ❤ it's crazy but it feels therapeutic. Some of the things you say hit home. I can visualize the things you say, it's freakin amazing! We are conditioned from early childhood to create all these anchors that the older we get the more we are held back! Just as you said you have to reconditioned your mind to do the opposite and that you are doing. You have created the least amount off weight to carry around and therefore you are free. Free to own yourself. Thats freakin incredible! You are proof it can be done!

For me, I found that the best way to deal with the stories in my head is to put them on paper. Twist them, turn them, flip them, and they become stories that others can read. When my parents died (too young) and they didn't appear as guiding lights in my life, I wrote a novel about what it means to be alive. It was incredibly therapeutic. I know everyone works differently, but that was what worked for me, because keeping them in my head was far too heavy. Thanks for sharing your travels.

I am much older than you. Old enough to be your Grandfather. I had never really gotten on KZbin except for how to do instructions, but when Covid came, I started exploring sites like yours and Dan. I think you both made the right decision, and will both grow from it. I also follow other People who lead similar lives to yours. Some young Women alone, like you now, some married couples, even some Gay Couples. In many I see what I see in you, and that is an amazing self awareness an intelligence and desire to grow as a person. Also extraordinary strength and braveness. I am real concerned of our current younger generations, with problems, and weakness too detailed to go into now. But with you, and most of the People on similar journeys as you, I see strength and hope. I had my own business, and traveled much of the world by conventional means (plane train, boat etc. I also did a lot of Camping Hiking, etc. I miss that, and your adventures, and others on You tube have gotten me to the point where I have purchased a travel trailer and I am waiting for my new SUV to pull it. Not to do what you are doing, and living in it full time, but for seasonal travel to see the Country like you have, and do a lot of Boondocking, and much more comfortable Camping than I did Years ago.. I can not tell you how happy and awe struck I am to see that there are People like you in the mostly scary younger Generations. You and your family should be very proud. I live in the Mountains of North Carolina. an area you might want to look into some day, as I think Dan will be hiking by me just a few miles away soon.

I slept in my car the last time I was there for quite a few nights. I loved it it is a really cool place to visit. I plan on going back soon.

You don't NEED to "meditate"-- just go BE---wherever you are, whatever you're doing- just BE.. don't forget if you're up through the upper east Tennessee, southwest Virginia area as you go north or south- you can always stop in and see "grandpa".. and I am one that will NEVER advice, judge, or in any way try to influence whatever you are .....in any way. I might, if you're interested, teach you a perfect technique that will help you clear trash and center really easily. You have the clarity- it's just covered. Michelangelo said the statue if David was already there in the stoner-- he just had to remove what didn't belong- and that is what you're doing. But- as i said- I have an extra room- it's just me and two cats-- and I'd welcome your company and discussion- if you feel like talking- or if you don't you can stop and visit and never say a word! Let me know if you're going to be around here any time. You always have an 'extended family' here..

When I notice healthier, younger people wearing masks, it gives me hope. Cuz we know this virus isn't hitting them nearly as hard as older people or people with underlying conditions. So you know young people like Alyssa who are wearing masks, are doing it for others & not necessarily for themselves. Masks in a way have sort of become a litmus test for the type of person someone is.

Alyssa, YAAAZZ! THE KEY STEP to awareness..."Think about what you are thinking about." At first, it is very hard. Our mind takes us to all of these emotional places before we know it...primarily fear based. Most people live their lives in what I call "The Sea of Emotional Chaos". They are adrift in a little row boat of life, going from one emotional wave to another...never seeing beyond the next wave, and never finding firm ground. They have oars, but don't know how to use them. It's because they haven't found this key you are talking about. Some people find out about it, but don't want to do the work. It takes a lot of energy at first. It scares them. But, just like anything in life, the more you practice it, the easier it becomes...until one day... you are doing it most of your waking moments. Don't worry, you can't fail the course, but you may get to repeat 3rd grade until you develop those muscles. It is a wonderful journey. I know that yours will be really fun to watch. Thank you for letting us come along to learn. Til next time. Mitch... Still working on my mind muscles. ✌️ P.S. - Oh yeah...there's a bus, and Rio, and an island in this story. Sorry... I got lost in your thoughts. Told you I'm still working on my mind muscles. Jekyll Island... A lot of decadent American history there, but interesting to see. I like St. Aug more. I used to live in Jacksonville.

True but we also hear these stories from society in general - friends, family, school, church, social media. Everyone has ideas about who we are and what we have to do and be to be deemed worthy or good. When these beliefs don't align with who we are, we suffer.

Okay where did you get this wisdom? How do we make it contagious? Maybe that is something you could consider as a path in your life? Helping others connect with this understanding of consciousness, awareness and presences. I guess you're doing that now. Agree completely but I'm older and the voices from the system I was born into were so loud Coming from my family, friends, co-workers and even strangers It drowned out my own for years. Connecting to your voice, intuition, energy is so valuable especially when it different from others.

The title screamed at me when it popped up. The stories (lies) we tell ourselves are always the most distructive. This video was perfect timing! I sold my house last week, closing my business Friday and answering the lifelong call to roam the land and "experience" life as I have never done before. And yes, a breakup was also part of untangling my soul from this life I have created. To be free and have the time and space to question the "lies" I have come to accept as truth. I cannot wait any longer for someday! Thank you for sharing your life in all of your videos. It's been a breath of fresh air for me! You are admired and appreciated! That is the single best explanation I've ever heard of how a spiritual practice and inner awareness can shatter ego (ego being the stories that we believe about ourselves whether true or not that cause suffering) and bring peace and happiness. This is exactly what is meant when it is said that only we control our thoughts, feelings, and perspective. I just randomly found the breakup video a few minutes ago and now I'm following you both. I daresay maybe this experience couldn't have happened unless you were alone. What a great example of why people need and deserve time to grow personally before trying to grow with someone else. I plan on getting on the road hopefully next year, following exactly this path up the East Coast, so I'm excited to see where and how you go. Happy travels and thank you for sharing your journey. 😊💖✌

I think it’s also important to acknowledge that the bitterness you felt was empathy. You were upset because a member of your community was wronged. It’s okay to feel that for a little bit, but you are right, it is important not to take on other peoples anger and hold it. We can feel for others or even our own frustrations, and then release them. ❤

Yes... Our brain, subconscious mind, runs a narrative of it's creation based on what it has seen from our past. How those scenarios have played out before. Our primal mind trying to save us from anticipated harm. I've become aware of this in recent years and it is my experience also. To find myself in an anxious or as you say bitter state because of one trigger. I find those triggers generally come from any negative narrative that easily rubs off. Once I have the ahh moment that I've been drawn along, I have a little chuckle. Then I'm fine, until it happens again. 🙃 I'm recently alone, alone and I've found it so much easier to stay centred because there is less outside noise. Eg: the article about the policeman... I even vet my KZbin as though I'm searching for community as well as the experience/lesson. I find wonderful people in the content creators and the comment section. New neural pathways are developed and strengthened in your subconscious creating a different overriding narrative over time. We are able to master our own mind in many ways. Joe Dispenza has a really good run down of how this occurs. It is a science based fact that monks and others have known for age's. This awareness is becoming so wide spread, I have a great optimism for our human family. We are ancient animals with a looong history or narrative. All of which is just that, narrative.

You made it, I watched 3 weeks in 5 minutes. Awsome. I am on the west coast waiting for a new rv. I'll be back on the road soon. Like you, with zero baggage. Just a dog and a disire to live in peace. 😁 Good luck with your travels, be safe😁🤙

I read something the other day “don’t believe everything you think”. And, as I’m typing, what scrolls by at the end of the video? Those exact words!!

If you need a place to park in NE Ohio I love on two acres and you are more them welcome. I'm a busy wife mother and grandmother to 7 young grandbabies who are here often. Question what is that thing you heat your water in. Be safe.

I enjoy hearing your thoughts regarding present moment awareness and on the “retraining” of your brain. I have been on that same spiritual plane for some time now. Our lives...our thoughts, and our feelings! We truly are as happy as we make up our minds to be!

Beautiful visuals and deeply personal and powerful words supplemented by background music. Excellent! I really liked this one and look forward to more. Keep being in the moment as often as you can, and try to get out of your head when you feel the negativity, advice to me as much as encouragement to you.

Hi there. I know how that is when your mind takes over and makes its own narrative or Reality. I have depression and so it happens more often to me. But when I had a dog it helped me so much. If you watch your dog and take a page from his or her book it helps so much to let go in your mind. What I mean is the dog has know concerns. It wants to be with you it wants to explore and eat and drink. The rest dont matter. You have each other to love and you get to explore what more do you need.. Thats enough who cares what others think? Their thought dont control your life unless you let them.
