I still watch him most nights. Either you tube or DVD. And glad to say, had the pleasure of meeting him on a few occasions. RIP my friend.

RIP Jethro, certainly one of the very best comedians, sadly taken from his very appreciative audience, you will be sorely missed.

Crying with laughter at the Norfolk Dyke skit with Jim Davidson! What a lovely, lovely fella - absolutely hilarious - so many great jokes, and now sadly gone. Gone but very definitely not forgotten, especially by those of us lucky enough to have seen your live shows. RIP Jethro.

Such a nice bloke. I went to see him live one Friday night a few years ago; he liked to go out for a smoke during the interval with all the punters. He didn't mix with them but he was always up for a chat if you spoke first. I went up to him and apologised for being late arriving to see the show (I wasn't). He said stuff like it's fine, no problem, glad you made it etc. I said yeah, we left on Wednesday to get here on time but the bloody train didn't stop at the station. He roared with laughter, slapped me on the back and said "You bloody got me!"

What an absolute gent he was. I had a chat with him during the interval of one of his shows too. It was great that he would just come wandering out amongst everyone but not make a big fuss out of it.

A brilliant comic and what an absolute joy to be able to make people laugh with such gusto - a consummate professional who will be missed by us all who enjoyed his comedy, such a talented man at many levels - and they don’t make them like that anymore unfortunately - rest in peace and I hope you find a wonderful comedy club upstairs‼️ - I’m pretty certain that if there isn’t one you’ll make one 💥👏👏 Sincerest condolences to your family who must be completely shattered that you have gone so soon after achieving a well-deserved retirement.

Cornish born & Raised. Love Jethro, Every time we talk about him at home, Dad always mentions how he went with Grandad to see him live in the Hall for Cornwall. He said if Grandad laughed any harder he was gonna need to be carried out on a stretcher🤣

I worked with jethro when he first started doing his PA at local gigs, used to turn up in his old Volvo estate which was his mobile office as well. Had the privilege of working in his club one night as a DJ for a friends birthday party, he came back from a gig that night and just got up on stage for nearly an hour with us all ending up in stitches. Was great to go out to his club as well as an audience member as he would just come out to bar serve you drinks and have a laught and a chat like any pub landlord would. Great guy of the people with no airs or grace’s, will be sadly missed for the comedy circuit, but I hope he enjoys his retirement with his horses.
