1976- Denver Pyle as Stayley Kircher in the Barnaby Jones episode, "The Stalking Horse", opposite Buddy Ebsen in the title role. Alas, Jed Clampett meets Jesse Duke- of course, Paul Henning, in the back of his mind, could've had Denver appear on his shows, too!!!

Er - Pyle joined the US Navy after Pearl Harbor, and ended up in the Merchant Marine after receiving a medical discharge following being wounded in combat in 1942.
